Ok guys, I need help loving my vmod please!

I'll start by saying I'm a bottom feeder nutcase. I have a whole bunch of different styles as well as an army of wooden feeders. I love the look and feel of my vmod, generally like how it performs, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it to stop making a mess.

I received the new chassis like 2 days ago, and have been using it non stop since, but no matter how careful I am, I always get a pile of juice between the case and the chassis.

I've been reading this thread, have been using all the Squonking techniques provided, and still nothing. I may be an a hole saying this, but IMHO any leaking or seepage or mess when it comes to a feeder mod is simply unacceptable to me.

I'm on the verge of dumping this on the classifieds, please any advice would be appreciated here! Help me love this mod!!

Try using it without the case to see where your leak or leaks are coming from... If around the the atty/silo make sure you have the newer seal (the one that goes around the atty/carto)and it is clean and dry. When assembling be careful not to over tighten things. The cone just tighten enough to keep the shell from rattling....

Have you tried vaping with it nekkid?? The vmod NOT you :p. By doing that you should be able to see where it is leaking from to isolate the issue.

You do need to make sure that when you put the gasket on the outside of the atty that everything is dry. If you are going to be vaping nekkid, what I did was screw the cone on so that it would seat the outer gasket, then take it off, otherwise it will leak.

Edit:
Looks like Scot beat me to it :).

Hey, my Vmod showed up in the mail today... but I don't have a charger yet because I was trying to find a place to purchase the AW IMR 14500 batts, the correct 14250 batts, and the charger all at once to avoid a bunch of different shipping fees.

Having med issues and not feeling well for a couple of days has slowed me down from reading all of the earlier posts in this thread...
Can someone point me towards a good site where I can purchase all three items?
Or at least the 14250 3.2v batts and a charger that will do both 3.0-3.7 because I see that the Vapage site not has the 14500's back in stock.

Thanks in advance. =)

***edited: Scratch that... I'm just picking up the extra 14500's and the small charger from Vapage for now since I'm ordering attys anyway. =)
I'll explore the 14250's and a multi batt charger later on. =)

Anyone here use/like any of the vapage juice while I'm ordering?

Chinner-
As stated above- vape without the cover to help spot the leak.
It was stated earlier, and I have run into this as well- sometimes the diameter of the silo / atty is a bit smaller than it should be, making the upper seal that goes around it too loose. I get leaks like crazy but only with certain silos / attys. I place a piece of a label (Brothers or P Touch label) around the silo just above the slots where the juice feeds thru. This makes the seal tight and no leaks, Again, I've found only some of the silos / attys needs this.

I think Super T Manufacturing has all the batteries and charger you are looking for.

Ok I've had it with this thing.

If anyone is interested in it before it hits the classifieds, feel free to send me a pm. Cash? Trades? Bag of hammers? Don't be shy lol!

Thanks for the help everyone, much love to all of you!

Chinner where is the juice coming from??? The top? The bottom? The bottle? We could help you thru this if we knew a lil bit more about where it's leaking from. :).. I don't think there's a vmodian here that hasn't had a love/hate relationship with their vmods at one time or another.

I just hate to see you give up on it so quickly. Maybe just put it down and come back later? But then again they aren't for everybody, that is why there is so many different mods on the market these days.

Hey Vicky, first of all, thanks for trying to help!

As for the leakage, I'm not sure really. My first one had the dreaded chassis crack, and I swore that I would love this little guy if only he wouldn't leak. I waited almost a month for the replacement, and read Everything I could about vmod so that when it arrived I could better understand how it works.

I've had it with me the last 2 days with the new chassis and nothing really improved. Again, I'm not sure exactly where the leaking occurs, but I'm pretty sure is not the atty connection. I find juice all inside the casing, in and on the battery area, and usually by the time I notice it's leaking, it's a total mess. Even last night, I cleaned and filled it up for the morning, and when I checked it was all full of juice again. Thats having not touched it at all lol.

I know there is a lot of love for these mods, and I can see why when functioning properly. Unfortunately, I prefer a device that requires less special treatment, and to be honest I don't really trust this thing when filled not to leak in my pocket or bag etc when unattended.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific guys. I'm going to work with it for the rest of the week and see if there's a solution here, otherwise I'll trade it for someone else's neglected mod or a bit of cash lol.

I think it's only the fact that I have 7 other feed mods that's keeping me from being really disappointed here lol.. Was hoping for a nice round 8 haha..

Cheers everyone!

The first big leakage I had was a cracked bottle neck. I tried everything to figure out the leak and couldn't find it. Was washing out a bottle and noticed the crack, right where the neck of the bottle meets the wider part of the bottle. Chinner, don't quit on it so quick. But, if you must move on check your PM's before you list it in the classys.........

Sorry folks... Had a few cocktails... If i got out line or offended some, my apologies...Kind got like a dog that won't give up that bone... Thanks AG... Was not aware there were 2 types of cartos....

Looks like there are more than two types, and they keep changing the designs. Anyway, apologies @Scotay, peace, dude!

@Chinner, mine leaks on and off at the bottle threading. I don't fully understand it. But it's not much and never made a mess in my pocket. Not a reason to dump it IMHO. If you have more than seepage, sonething is wrong that people here can probably help you figure out.

Hey thanks for the response. I'll have a closer look at the bottle, that's one area I haven't been focusing on much. I hope it's that simple!

Otherwise, I've received your pm, and you'll have first dibs if I decide to move it!

Thanks man, I appreciate the suggestions. As I said I'm going to spend the next couple days exploring the problem to hopefully find a solution here. Maybe the bottle/neck is the culprit!

I do however disagree that it's not reason enough to move it. My attraction to the bottom feeders centers around the simplicity and ease of operation. Having to tweak this and that to make a mod work out of the box is just not a win for me. I'd like to think I have lots of experience with feeders at this point, and have never encountered a mod with so much promise, yet so much left to be desired.

I really hope I can get this working. The form factor and style of the vmod is excellent, I like the 14500's, and for what it's worth the vapage atties are quite good.

Anyways, thanks again and wish me luck!
