I haven't had either of mine crack.
Brian said it was a hit & miss thing.
If yours does crack, it'll be replaced.

I've been carrying one around for over a month & it's great. I've dropped it & no problems. It's been in & out of my pocket hundreds of times. I have a pet care service & drive at least a hundred miles per day & am in & out of the car at least 25 times a day. It's perfect for my busy day.
Definitely a good work mod. Lightweight, well-built, decent battery life, good juice capacity & vapes great. Not bad for home use either.

Thank you for your response A.G. I am going to order a Vmod with a couple of bf attys. It seems like it will be the perfect carrying around pv. :)

The VMOD family is growing. We'll need to plan a VMOD meet one of these days.

Vegas Vape Fest anyone?

By the way --- for those into the technical stuff here's a couple of pics:

This is the new bushing:

And here's the pin:

showsthepinarea.jpg

And, here's something to help explain it all --

"To make the chassis more stable we had to take pressure off the plastic.
The cylinder was press-fit so if any cold spots or runs are in the plastic it can break as we now know happens.
On the top part of the chassis the tolerance was off more than I liked, so that was addressed.
Insted of press-fitting, the cylinder is now pinned.
Now it is solid as a rock, and the stress is of the plastic...problem solved.

The photos show the pin area on the inside of the chassi where the battery sits, and the other shows the bushing on the top to tighten up the gap."

Now, can someone tell me what a bushing is?

A mechanical device used to reduce vibration, or maybe something sexual. I'm not really sure.

I'm a bit miffed there is a v2 (v1.1 or whatever) coming out soon. I know we'll be taken care of (from what we are hearing) but I don't have the highest confidence in their CS. I had to call 3 times to talk to a person (over an order that was forgotten to be shipped) and never had emails responded to. So getting out my VMOD upgrade if the one I'm getting should break is unnerving.

I'm getting confused about the different atty's Vapage lists. Are they all intended for a 3.7 volt battery or are some of them meant for a 5.0 or 6.0 battery?

If the 2.0 is for a 3.7 does that mean the 2.2 or 2.8 are.

What are the differences?

And do you clean them or just toss them? Have you tried cleaning with baking soda and vinegar?

tea, not sure I will be able to do Vegas, but those of us who are local to this area have TWO meets coming up! One next weekend at Jason's, and on the 3rd of 9 (Sept.) at Clubhouse 66.

Thanks for the pics. I think the bushings have something to do with the shrubings, but I'm not really sure.

Cleaning for me begins with a really severe blow out of old juice followed by an hour soak in cheap vodka (it has to be cheap vodka or it won't work ;)). I also let the vodka solution drip thru the atty. Shake and dry.

TheKeith, I know that Vapage reads this thread and does respond to our concerns. I can 'hear' your frustration and understand it. I believe that Vapage will make things right. Sometimes it takes more time than we'd like, as you know, as we all know.
