Bump for the feeding instructions:

Feeding:

1) invert device & wait for juice to fill the bottleneck on the fill bottle. You may even wiggle it a bit & look for the air bubbles.

2) turn upright & squeeze the bottle.
(You will hear the pocket of juice release into the chamber.)

3) dry pull a few times to fill the Hybrid or Silo with juice from the chamber.

4) Vape

5) when atty or carto gets dry, do a couple of dry pulls again.

6) when chamber is empty...see #1

Notes: make sure you are using both seals on the atty or carto. One is an o-ring on above the threads, the other is a band that goes around the atty. Having both of these seals in place is imperative to prevent leaking.

I am so so happy for all our new VMOD family members! Awesome mod, vaped by awesome people I would think! :)

Now, relax, take a breath, and please don't be jealous (t-taz especially), but I have 7 VMODS now...

Going to be a bit busy vaping, so I'll be back on ECF in a few weeks and won't be able to get any PMs at all, ya know?

Okay so here's how I did it. I'm not good at explaining so bare with me. Hopefully the pictures show what I did better than me explaining it.

If you notice my old desk, you will see the metal shavings I'm talking about. I didn't put anything down to catch them when I made the first carto. Please excuse my old teacher's desk..it's seen better days and hope to get it refinished when I get a chance.

Tools needed:
Dremel motor
#420 Heavy Duty Cut-off discs
Needle or precission screwdriver
Cartomizer or atomizer
Safety glasses due to metal dust
Newspaper or old rag to catch metal dust

Put rag or newspaper down.

Put safety glasses on. I wear glasses but please put safety glasses on over them. The dust will fly everywhere...even behind regular glasses.

Attach #420 disc to dremel motor and lock down.

Take a carto or atomizer and hold at an angle with the threads facing upwards (but will be at a slant).

Turn on dremel to high speed.

On the very edge of carto or atty, start grinding but don't go clear through. Hit it a little, then look at it and keep doing this until you see that the metal starts to get thin. Poke it with a needle or precission screwdriver to see if it will give. If not, hit it with the dremel again. Once the metal gives with the needle or screwdriver, dig it out a little bit. You have your feeding hole. Do this in 2-3 places around the very edge of the atty or carto.

Now make sure that the flat edge doesn't have any burs. The flat edge that I'm talking about is the one, if you sat the carto or atty on a flat surface with threads facing straight up, and looked straight down at it (I hope that makes sense...in other words if you sat it to drain overnight). If it does have burs, use the dremel to smooth them off making sure you don't hit the threads on the carto or atty. I smooth mine by "raking" the disc over it. Now wipe it off to remove the metal dust. Install the little gasket that goes over the threads and screw into the VMod. Now feed it and vape away.

I did this with both an atty and carto and so far neither has had any leaking. I've been vaping it with the housing off to see if anything is leaking through and so far it's not.

Sorry for these crappy pics but my daughter took the "monster" camera out of town with her so I only had my little digital to work with. I hope the pics better explain how I made these. I don't like atomizers but used one just to see if I could get it to work but I went at it blindly because I don't know what a hybrid looks like. The atty that I made works also.

If anyone tries this, please make sure you wipe everything down to remove the metal dust.

Pic two - Nicking it with the dremel.

Pic three - Kept nicking it until I got it thinned down enough to poke a needle/precission screwdriver through it.

Pic four - Threaded end pic. Notice the 3 indentions.

Pic five - Another pic of the indentions from looking straight down at the threaded end. The cuts are visible and make it look somewhat beveled.
