Double GRRRRRRRRRRR. There is no way. Maybe I have an odd chassis, but the amount of space for the thickness of the cup,,, uh uh. Ain't gonna happen. I've bright light, a magnifying glass, heavy duty reading glasses, tweezers, dental pic, skinny needle nose jewelry pliers, and still... not going in.

Walking away...:glare:

Biz, thanks for the pics. I definitely love the red one and the light pink, far right! (Also your batts are in the mail :))

LOL on the lube comment, Laz. Nope, I have not tried that yet. I still insist that there is physically not enuf space for the cup to go under the wire etc. I'll try again. Sigh.

What is the turn around on a new VMod? I ordered on 23rd, 2 orders. Order 1 was a Vmod. Order 2 was extra attys and cartos. I receved order 2 today (8/29) it showed "completed" and shipped on the 25th. Order 1 still shows processed with no shipping info. So, I take it that it has not shopped. I checked my CC and it transaction went through on the 23rd for order 1. I understand rushing out the replacement chassis to those who have already purchased. But, neglecting the new orders kinda leaves a bad taste for a new customer. I would think an order would at least ship out after 6 days...........

Thanks to Ken's toothpick comment I had an epiphany.... Take a toothpick shove under the wire and wedge it into that little hole there in the middle of the pic... That gives you just enough clearance to shove the catch cup in and a little fiddle room to get it into the right position...I did not even have to hold the toothpick it stayed there by itself... I have been messing with this for over an hour including using a vise to hold the chassis to free up my hands... Did the little toothpick thing I mentioned and 2 minutes later with a little reposition... Cup inserted
:rickroll::rickroll::vapor:

I seem to remember some asking about macro pics of the catch cup, and not sure if this has already been done. But here are some close ups of the catch cup in place and a blurb at the bottom on how I did it.

I cut the "ignition" + wire slit with fingernail clippers. Used a drop of juice on the cup to lube it lightly as once it's in the cavity, you will most likely need to rotate it to where the slit will align to the + wire and the wire will fall into place within the slit. I used curved tweezers and a dental pick to get the cup in the cavity.
Hope this helps.

Wanna give a shout out to Brian for taking time out to help me with the new chassis issue (even tho it was me being stupid with a dying atty).

He showed a genuine interest in the issue and wanted to make sure it was something he could get on right away.

I'm really excited to see what they come up with on the larger models (personally I'd love to see a soft touch paint button and less hard edge plasticy bottom too, for a better grip feel)

I think I categorically and officially do not like you any more (or any less, for that matter). :p

Here is what i did point the slit at where the the positive wire is going into the bottom and take a toothpick or dental pick and push the left side flap down under the wire once this is done you should be able to turn it into place!!!!

Kat, put some damn lube on it and slide (smush) the cup under the the pin and wire. Straighten it out once it's in the cup (easy peasy) and rotate the slit for the + wire to fall into place and your done....if i can type on this damn iPad, i know you can put the CC in. You can Dooooo it.
If you can't. Send it to me and I'll do it for you :)
