I ordered mine after seeing a mention on a forum and was pleased with the shape, size, and function......didn't know about the leaking issue. Once I found out about the replacement chassis they shipped it right away along with the gasket kit. 10 minutes to install all the parts and it's working like a champ.

For those who would like to try this mod, but are uncertain about what is needed, here is a suggested shopping list:

From Vapage.com:

1 V-Mod
2 pack of 2 Silo Cartomizers in different Ohm ratings to find the right ohm for you.
2 pack of 2 AMG Hybrid atomizers in different Ohm ratings to find the right one for you.
Some e-liquid of your choice, probably no less than 30ml.

From MadVapes.com or other supplier:

3 Ultrafire 14500 900mah protected batteries
1 AG-126 Lithium Ion Battery Charger
2 Drip tips of your choice

Welcome, Para!!!!! :D I'm thrilled you're here and that you got the Vmod. Know what you mean: Mini who? LOL.

(See AG? Told you Para would show up ;))

Plus One....:)

I'm glad I found the Vmod and was able to help others find it too. It's been a fun adventure helping to take it from it's infancy to this improved and finished product. I can only hope the Vmod finds its way into the hands of smokers everywhere, so it can help change their lives for the better. It's such a nice product, and for a reasonable price. I think the success rate for new vapors can be greatly improved if they get a Vmod. Thanks to Vapage (Brian, John, Spencer, & Crew) for all of the hard work they've put in over the last few months. Thank you to all of the ECF'ers of this thread for their tireless work & tremendous patience during it's development. Since I started vaping, I've been dreaming of a feeder-type mod, which would appeal to the mass audience of smokers, & could be made in a large enough volume to make a difference. I wish Vapage all of the success in the world with the Vmod. Through everyone's work the resulting Vmod has turned out great! I believe our participation with the Vmod's development has been the largest cooperative effort between vaper and producer ever. Lastly...huge props to eJoker for the great video he made to start off this fantastic thread! :)

Look out Las Vegas Vapefest...here comes the Vmod from Vapage!

So very well said AG!

I have a deep appreciation for the guys @ Vapage. They have listened to us and made remarkable improvements in such short order on IMO the best BF mod on the market with the best price point. This is what vaping bliss should be for those new to ecigs and us old hats can appreciate the ease of use. I wish them continued success to take the vaping world by storm and I am very honored to be part of it all.

@ Para....mini what? LOVE IT!

Hey Thanks Gristle & Katdarling! Lots of great info you shared! So is the Ultrafire battery & AG 126 charger the recommended brand names? Also trying to remember...somewhere I saw a page that had all the up to date discount codes for ecf member~any one remember where? (Specifically for Vapage & MadVapes?) I probably could/should wait the couple of weeks but I'm a little impulsive ~so I may try to put together the Vmod before then. :) I've never dripped (at least not knowingly! :) ), but after a while my Monster atty needs to be topped off pretty frequently...so I may be a pseudo dripper and didn't even know it.
(Peg was better than PP...but I think I'll try PeP! LOL!)

Welcome to the Vmod thread Pegasus :). The peeps here are sooo very helpful. This was my very first mod also, I had only done kr's w/carto's up to that point! I asked alot of ??'s and they were always answered. It does have a lil learning curve, but no more than learning to vape does. Shoot what doesn't have a learning curve?????? Here is a link for the master coupon code thread.

Nobody has mentioned super t manufacturing for batt's and chargers, also rtd has the good ones. I personally have a trustfire TR-001 charger and aw 14500 "PROTECTED" batts, it is black w/white lablel on it. Also have a trustfire 14500 protected, that one is black w/flames on it. The protected are more expensive, but for newbs, I would recommend them until we get a handle on the volt/ohms/wattage/blah/blah :) part of vaping. JMO as a newb. Of course if you can wait for 3ish weeks then it'll be one-stop-shopping at vapage. And those chargers are precious!!!!! I'm in for a couple :) Here's the links. :) :)

Pegasus --- try learning how to use the search with google at the top right of the page. It's the way I find coupon codes the easiest!

I use AW batteries. I decided it was worth a little bit more to get the best brand. AW is well touted on the forum!
The one's sited above are what Vapage recommends (Ultrafire 14500 3.6v 900 mAh Li-on), so it would not be wrong to go with them.

The protected (IC) (black) and unprotected (IMR) (red--high drain) are both used on the Vmod. I have both for the Vmod. I like the protected better----they seem to last longer between charges. Many experienced vapers prefer the red ones.

There are some preferred chargers too --- but I haven't learned them enough to chat about it!

I prefer the AW IMR for 3.7V, however you can get some rattle in the vmod without a spacer. They deliver consistent power until they die. The protected's are great for VV applications. AW batts are definitely worth the extra $. If anyone's looking for a charger, this one has performed flawlessly for me.

I agree with Capt. on the Aws being the best batt in this mod:) I could tell a difference in the performance once I finally got the AW IMR 14500s for my Vmod. I tend to like to vape at 4.2 to 4.0 volts so I like these batts for that reason they stay at that volt for a longer period than the Li-ion batts do. I am also the tyoe of vaper that will switch out my batts to a new set before they even die because I can tell when the voltage has dropped slightly so I just go ahead and throw in a freshly charged battery. :)

@tierr I am really sorry to here about the lose your firends have had because of the fires over in Cal. I hope you all are safe and I will keep you all in my prayers:)

I'm a lucky man today........the postman delivered my Vmod. :)
First of all I have to thank Vapage for their wonderful and fast customer service as well as making this mod available at a reasonable price.
Use the trade-in trade-up program. Mine ended up costing less than $60 delivered WITH (2) extra cartos in 2.2 ohm - that makes (4) with the two in the kit - and (2) extra 1.8 ohm cartos AND (2) 2.2 hybrids AND (2) 1.5 hybrids.
Plus what's in the box.

Second, I am WOW impressed with the product...design and finish. The simplicity of the design aesthetically AND mechanically makes the Vmod a piece of art. I love it.

Third, I can't really review it yet because 3 hours tells you little but if this continues to perform the way it does now, I have several PV's that will be forgotten and gathering dust and tarnish. Right now the atty and cartos are just breaking in.

I've read a lot about leakage and so far so good with mine. It came with a replacement seal kit but I am just using it 'as shipped' until I experience a problem. Maybe this one came with the new seals installed? Or maybe it just isn't a leak-er?

Anyway, I am still discovering my new toy....

"How should I hold it?
"Should I fire it with a finger or my thumb?
"I wonder how I look vaping this mod? <goes looking for a mirror>
"How often do I have to pump it?
"Do you think Jean believes me when I told her I 'won' it in a contest?

I'm looking forward to the journey.
I'm loving it already

Hahaha!

Exactly how many mods have you "won" now! ;)

The new chassis takes care of most of the areas where juice would seep, but the seals & catch cup complete the deal. The upper seal & cup keep even the occasional over feeder in check.

Welcome to the Vmod Club....no funny ears, just sweet, sweet nicotine! ;)
