Hello, Vmodians.
Just got home from work and my new toy was waiting for me on the counter. I let out an audible "Woohoo!" and lucky me, the wife heard. Tried to cover by giving her one, but it was too late...
I opened everything up, took it apart and inspected the chassis. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue (immediately), but mine already has a crack in it. WTF? All I did was take it apart.
Other than that, it's working well. I'll get to installing the catch cup eventually. I've never used a bottom feeder before, but it's not very practical to drip while driving and I have a severe dislike of cartomizers and tanks. A bit disappointed with the 2.2 ohm silo at 3.7v, but it works well enough. Going to take some time to get used to not being able to adjust wattage (main mod is a Darwin).
Need to have a discussion with Vapage about the cracked chassis though.

Lift the wire up by sticking a toothpick under it...should give you clearance.

The new one doesn't crack even under pressure.

Oh wow!!!! I just put on a LR atty and am dripping for now, and WOW. Big difference. I'm going to the Vapage site right now to order some bottom-feeding ones.
And yes, fo sho on the too hot. WAY too hot. When do you think Vapage will make 3.2 ohm atties?

Go here and input voltage and ohms it will show the watts or heat being generated by the atty.

Try to stay in the same neighborhood that you like at present voltage!Vapingmonkey likes 6.4V @ 2.8ohms.

That's what exactly I've been vaping my Vmod at and that little sucker gets so blessed hot I have to feed it every other drag! Not to mention the dry hits from hell...But thanks for the converter! My son was trying to teach me about ohms and volts...maybe my ADHD will calm down a bit by the time he gets home and my brain will be able to absorb some if his wisdom.
In the meantime, I am rockin' this LR atty. Holy vapor.
I had a problem with my bottles being crooked to one side. If you hold the bottle against the chassis and thread it in keeping it aganst the back of the chassis it seems to thread straight and true. Haven't had any problems since I started putting the bottle on this way...
One of mine leaks, BUT it is a bottle issue NOT a chassis issue... Well the rough thread may have (or not) contributed to the problem, but the actual leak is from threads or lack of on the bottle..
My other one, well I have purposefully overfed it to make it leak and with the new seals, o-rings, and catch cup, it just isn't happening... I surely wouldn't have 2 dressed vmods that I'm currently using and 3 chassis waiting in the wings for clothes and bottles if they were anything less than what they are. Awesome and very newbie friendly.. JMO

Mim, I hope you don't give up. I'm sure Vapage will correct the issues with a replacement for you. Do let us know?
Pheisty, I'm the KWEEN of not being able to get that catch cup in, but I did, TWICE! If I can, you can. Please refer back in the thread to pics and discussion about it. You really need to use a toothpick and insert it into that small hole to the left of where the catch cup will sit. This will lift the wire up just enuf for you to get some leverage. You also need to put a drop or so of juice on the catch cup to make it slippery enuf to slide under the wire. I used a dental pick, on its side, for that needed leverage. I say to use it on its side as it is sharp and can puncture the silicone cup.
Good reading glasses, lots of light and a well-aged Cabernet will also help.
Now, about sweet spots and voltage and ohms and all that good science stuff. Here's something that might be valuable to some of you. I know it was to me.

It's been rumored that if you back a regular atty off a bit, you can feed it. I haven't tried yet.
