Good morning everyone
I've been lurking for awhile practicing my listening not speaking-lol I dont want to be the bearer of unpopular news but...both a co-worker and I have the crack in our chassis, his is 2wks old and mine is 1wk,though mine weeps juice and his doesnt yet (that sounds wrong-lol). Ive contacted CS and they requested I send my chassis back too them,as this is my second vmod purchase/request for a replacement,I'm sure they think I'm collecting free chassis.
Well this is not the case as my first mod was purchased for a friend at work who doesnt have a credit card( Ive fallen into the role of juice daddy for a group of us,ordering jointly too save on discounts and split shipping costs) His replacement chassis of 3-4wks ago is still fine,no cracks or leaks! Soooo, only actually possesing 1 vmod,I felt I had to order another one last night before sending back my only chassis, cracked or not! The new pinning has helped the the internal sleeve from turning, but as too the cracking....................?

Goober...you're such a lurker. ;)

Weird that your second chassis cracked. I'm sure they'll take care of it. Asking for the return is probably so they can see what caused it.

Stownz, if your replacement chassis is leaking, you should see about a second replacement too.

I've been using the new chassis & seals with nary a drop of liquid escaping. Since these are production units, even the replacement chassis' are bound to have a dud or two in the batch.

Morning Vmodders!

@Stownz, is the seal coming out when you remove the bottle? The only time mine leaked was when my seal did NOT come out. Upon inspection it was crooked so I took it out and seated it on the bottle. Mine comes off each time and now I understand the need for that air space below the bottle. :D I just wipe it off and re-seat on bottle changes and no leaks.

Hope that helps.

Hi Having a bad Vmod day. First a 1.8 silo quit on me, now when I push the button the spring moves and breaks contact with the silo so I have to keep pushing it back in place. Anyone know what holds that in place? I installed the drip cup but that does not help. It is only 2 weeks old, does the spring weaken?

Strongz if I'm understanding your problem correctly at the end of the straight part of the spring it should be bent up like an L and the piece that is bent up should go into the hole of the ventri that is what keeps it place . When installing the catch cup you might have pushed it out of place. The easy way for me to get it back in is to pull off the black push button pull the spring out and put the bent end into the hole and slide the rest of the spring back into place and and push the button back on and reinstall catch cup .

Sounds like a job for AG with all our tricks revealed :D

And the vid would be called VMOD Trickery? Trick or Treatery?

(Ok, KD, go get more coffee.)

BTW, I have checked all my 17 VMODs and in removing the bottle, the seal does not come out. Actually, I've never seen that happen, ever. Mine have zero leaks, still!
