In my own little world
More like a trip down memory lane for me to post this here, but your question made me look at my history.

2/14/12 - 4 njoy disposables - Found in a local gas station, figure I'd finally give it a shot.
2/16/12 - Ordered Greensmoke kit - Disposables lead me to believe it could work.
2/16/12 - 30 minutes after ordering the Greensmoke, found ECF which changed everything for me (wish I had found it one hour earlier).
2/20/12 - Kit Arrived - Quit smoking 9 hrs later (at least the kit didn't go to waste).
2/24/12 - Registered on ECF and purchased a Provari v2 based off a weeks reading on ECF.
3/15/12 - Bought another v2 and a mini on release date.

This was before all the massive love/hate relationships that seemed to have developed over the last year. Served me well, now moving on to add hybrids and mechanical mods almost a year later. Still use all 3 of my first mods, just differently than when I started with them last year.

Edit: Would have started with a KGO if I was shorter on funds, but did get a chance to recommend it to a buddy based on ECF info. Tried it when I set it up for him and found it worked great.

Sounds like me -- though I skipped the cig-a-likes myself. Several coworkers had poo-poo'd them in descriptions for me, so I never took the plunge til I found the Ego-T setups. Went through several poor local vendors with very little in the way of options (either not many juice choices, or no ability to adjust PG/VG blend) before I found ECF and started REALLY learning. Got my Provari's in July, and never looked back -- still love them -- just ready to branch out. Waiting for my first mechanical mod, but actively considering a hybrid as well.

Speaking of Vamo's, whats your opinion of them?

My HONEST opinion...is there amazing, and I'm not saying that a "monetary" point of view...but simply , I just love it, from the look to the weight to variable wattage, It makes for more customization in taste? amount of vape and so forth. The ability to switch it for different flavors and levels make for a better vaping experiences imo. I would say "giving" it a try would be worth it (and as long as you can grab a holder of some kind dropping it and banging it seems like it wouldn't be tat big of a worry)

Yeah... the dropping it is my only concern. One friend dropped his battery-cap side down from standing chest height onto concrete, and while it still works, it now has an odd rattle to it that wasn't there before. Those kinda things concern me, only because I've proven time and time again I'm hopelessly clumsy. I've only had my AGA-T+ glass tank for 2 weeks, and I already cracked it today!

I haven't written them off -- the battery options, variable wattage and low price are quite appealing -- I just fear I'd kill it in a week :)

I'd agree, with the exception of the Provari's. I got them cuz people on here constantly talk about them like they're a tank -- and I've certainly dropped mine more times than I'd like to admit without a (noticable!) scratch. I have tile floors, and a titanium-framed wheelchair that would eat most things for lunch :)

Its yet another reason I'm stoked to get one of Brad Gruss's Flairs in a nice solid metal hunk. I've also thought about wood mods as well -- I might mess up the finish on them, but wood typically has a bit more 'give' than metal in an impact situation.

I just got my Vamo and have been using it most of the morning. From an 808 auto, to manual eGo, to a kGo VV, I can honestly say the Vamo is the best choice I've made so far. I'm still figuring out which settings work best for what I have on it but I can say at 5.5W it is really waking up this Smoktech carto tank
