I got a pair of these last week, and these are really amazing!

Here's a couple of comments:

I got a glass turkey-baster and taped it onto the end with electrical tape; I think this vastly improves it; you can build up a tube full of dense vapor, and then draw it out. No spitting in your face, and the LED helps show off the density of the vapor. Also, with the clear glass tube it's easier to see how well it's working, and get that balance of how hard to press the switch.

I've been playing around with mixes. Most of my juice is 70%pg/30%vg. I like this better with more VG so I've been adding some. Also, I thin the juice a bit with vodka (shelf, 80 proof) to help reduce clogging. The mix I use is 2 parts juice, 1 part glycerine, 1 part vodka. I wish I had 100%vg juice; the vodka gives the throat hit, while the vg gives a great density to the vapor, and brings out the flavors quite nicely. (I like vanilla and fruit flavors, so the sweetness is a good complement). Yes, it's diluting the nicotine content down, but with the size of the draws that's probably a good thing! I can easily vape this until my lips and/or toes start to tingle! (Which means it's time to stop!!!)

I gotta try this with a liqueur someday, but I'm afraid I'll totally clog it up; anyone tried this with Kahluah or Amaretto? Maybe peppermint schnapps or creme de menthe?

When it seems like it's starting to clog up, I empty the chambers and re-fill with straight vodka. I then pump it through alternating between "very juicy" and "very dry" (i.e. letting the element heat up before sending fluid through). Seems to work like a charm. I'd be reluctant to use vinegar because it is corrosive and conductive. (And yes, when I'm cleaning it I do occasionally vape the result!) That's another advantage to the turkey-baster; while the power is on it's not pointed in your mouth! (although it's never done anything but vape for me).

Also, if it seems like it's clogging, try re-charging your batteries; the LED will still glow brightly even when the batts can't drive the coil hard enough. I would recommend NOT running this on low batts, since that seems to make it clog more quickly.

Just my 2 cents. I wish this thread was sticky; I think the discussion and the product both merit it! Is there some other thread on this that is more current? And is anybody thinking of doing an "excerpts of"? There's some incredible posts in here, but the thread is SOOOOOO long!

I forgot a couple of things....

One thing I really like is that this makes it easy to try different flavors and mixtures under pretty much identical conditions; you can use a syringe to pull out one liquid, and put another one in, or even to add more flavoring, glycerine, or vodka to the current mix to see how that affects the taste. (You can just add whatever, and rock it back and forth; the shape of the chamber helps it mix together).

Also, I tend to vape this pretty wet; holding the button down lightly for a relatively short time, and then pushing down with a decent pressure. As a result, a lot of the fluid winds up circulating into the "empty" chamber; I then extract it with a syringe and pump it back into the "fill" chamber. I have a couple of 1-ml syringes which are great for measuring the mixes; the 10ml is a bit too big. A 3 ml would probably be perfect for both mixing and recirculating.

One thing I don't like so much is that "the stick" tends to get a bit sticky, particularly with the turkey-baster. Condensed liquid that drips back down can come out through the vent holes. I covered the "front" holes (The ones on the switch side) with a piece of electrical tape, which helps. Still, a package of baby-wipes and/or paper towels is handy to have nearby.

With my "e-....", the syringe, and all the little phials of e-liquid the place is starting to look like a m e t h lab! (Well, probably not exactly, but unsavory nonetheless...)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I've spent the last two days reading all of this thread and have been blown away by the ingenuity of people here. That being said why did the posts go from 6/8/10 to 5/10/11? What happened. It's like reading a great book (i haven't done that in a while) only to find out someone ripped out a buttload of pages. Charged? Nico? SV? Dan? Where did everyone go? What happened to the atty or the wizard mod? I need to know.

I sincerely hope everyone is o.k. Still a great read. Way above my comprehension level of electronics and engineering but really a great read.

Here's to hoping "The Wizard - Why not? Part II: (fill in catchy title)" comes out soon!

Well mods are alot like rollar coasters, some time they go fast, slow and stop altogether. I found that it was a very finniky mod to work with and IMO more trouble than it was worth. Fun to work on but not practical. There were too many problems to overcome. The original design would clog and fail and require cleaning of some sort. The external tube heating design was not as efficient as I would have liked and waisted alot of juice. A juice collections system was not somthing a normal person would want in a PV. So it just kinda died until someone reposted in the thread and brought it out of the bone yard. Thats pretty much it, I think nico might still be playing with it. Me I moved onto genesis mods.
