This is my first post though I've been lurking for about a week and only officially registered yesterday. I'm a long time analog smoker. Thanks to the kind folks here I made my decision to buy a PV! I think the Joye 501 is the item for me, and after watching MoobyGhost's review I even bought mine from the same company.

Working at a convienence store my breaks come between customers. There are many times someone pulls up right as I light up. Needless to say a lot of tobacco is wasted. Also at home I have two kids and one due next month so I cannot smoke inside at home. Depending on the weather i tend to either rush through a smoke, or put it out early to get back to whatever I was doing before I went outside. I spend roughly around $40 a week on analogs and hoping after the initial investment to spend a LOT less.

So to start out I bought the:
510 starter kit (with no charger) comes with two attys two bats 3 x 3ml bottles of ecopure juice and 5 carts
$40.00
USB charger
$10.00
2 x ECOpure 3ml Bulk Discount for 5 Bottles 3ml Each |15ml Total
$25.50

Which came out to $75.50 then with the e-coupon I only paid $65.40 which seems to be a fairly good starting price.

I'm not sure how long a ml will last me but I'm hoping with a total of 39 ml will be enough to get me off the ground running.

Well I've said my introduction, now back to lurcking and reading more. :)

Hello and welcome to the world of vaping, Zho. I'm fairly new to it myself but love my 510. I'm already done with nicotine and just vape zero-nic juice now. Others stay on nic, YMMV. I do love not being owned by my analog once I light it up since I can just vape and put down my PV as it suits me and my schedule.

I would like to suggest that you get some extra batteries and atomizers, definitely at least one more battery (I have more than that stored away in case of future emergency) so you won't get stuck with two drained batteries and feel the urge to light up an analog while waiting for one to charge. A PCC is another must in my book; I think you would really be glad you got one and with one might be able to get away with having less spare batteries. I actually have two. hahaha Congratulations on your decision to start vaping!

Welcome,

I hope you're not pregnant and continue to smoke, right?

As for how long juice will last you - it depends on your smoking habits, it could vary between 1/2 and 5 ml a day, I am using 1 ml a day the most.

And for good juice with a $9 per 30 mg bottle price tag with very fast delivery try http://www.mist-stix.com (don't forget ECF code to drop $15 to $9)

Welcome to the world of vaping! Hope you enjoy your 510. It's definitely nice to be able to use it to get a couple puffs when you wouldn't have had time to smoke a cig. I used to feel so guilty if I really needed a cig and only had time for a few puffs between going in and out of stores or something, and ended up wasting most of the cig. It's one of the many great things about vaping that you will find on your new journey.

I had the feeling that the OP is male, not female.

Welcome to the forum, stick around and chat with us for a bit, lots of good conversation here!

You are correct, but I am guessing that saying I have two kids and one on the way can be interpreted either way. Actually my wife quit smoking two years ago and is always complaining about the smoke smell on me. Also when she was pregnant and smoking her Dr. told her not to quit because of added stress on the baby.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and suggestions!

p.s. I'm more of a Randall than a Dante :p

I am puzzled - doctor told your wife to continue smoking while pregnant?8-o
I'd be on my way looking for another doctor.

We were trying to have a baby for a while which ended up being 3 miscarriages before our first child was born. By this time she is considered a high risk pregnancy and trying to quit would put more stress on the baby than smoking would.

I went through the same thing with my 2 pregnancies. The doctors wanted me to cut back not quit, because the stress was worse for the baby than a few cigs a day. They were happy that I cut back from almost 2 packs a day to about half a pack. And I had different doctors for my pregnancies since they were 12 years apart and we had moved. It seems to be the general consensus among doctors. If you plan a pregnancy quit before you get pregnant, but if you are smoking when you get pregnant cut back. Stress causes many miscarriages, caused one for me in between the 2 children I had.
