I just bought a Mutation X and built a parallel 22g Gplatt 5 wraps (intended to be my cloud chasing atty) however when i measure the ohms it says any where from 1.2 all the way up to 2.00 ohms, from my experiences rebuilding thus far i feel like the ohms should be significantly lower, any ideas as to what is going on here?
There is something weird happening with my latest build, any help?

I also have a mutation X. And I have had some similar problems.
You have to be very careful when you tighten down the screws. You want a tight connection, but the mutation X can very easily snap your wires if you make it too tight.

wow you guys were so helpful thank so much! i just tightened down the screws and its reading a consistent .12 ohms, thanks again for the help!
Not to worry! I'm using VTC5's and have an Apollo mod on the way until then I'm not using it much on my stingray X
Where did you get the VTC5's? They have been discontinued for a while now, and are hard to find. The fakes are all over the place thought.
I bought them from ebay and have done a good bit of research and they seem to be real.
It is your hand and your face, but for me, "seem to be" would not be good enough!

Fair enough, although the seller seemed legit and was from the united states, and not a single tell that i have learned about fake VTC5s are on my batteries. I am comfortable using them.
I have viewed this site and i assure you my batteries look exactly like the ones in the pictures of the real battery examples on this site, i am an artist and a detail oriented person so i hope you will take my word when i say that if these were fake i would know by now.
Sorry to mother hen, but you are building extremely low for someone ask connection issue questions. a question anyone that has built a couple of coils would know right away. Just want to keep fellow vapers safe!
hey I'm all for safety and I have a good bit of experience building coils but i always make sure to tighten the posts when i am done and have never had this issue before so it did occur to me to try re-tightening them.
i have snapped the coils on my Hobo but only 30g my 26g coils never snap and with 22g even on my mutation X i couldn't imagine snapping them.
.12???? add a few more wraps... at least go for .25... what batteries are you using?
I couldn't help but notice youre from Wisconsin and it says Madison as well, i am going to college in Eau Claire but plan on transferring to Madison in my junior year anything note worthy about the city, things i should know or words of encouragement?
I'm am using sony vtc5s i was planning on rebuilding with a few more wraps actually this is a little lower then i wanted.
