We live in a small-ish community on the SW Coast of Florida. Not a big pop, but get lots of tourists. We (I) don't get out much, but the last time my better-half went out to lunch with a gf, low and behold, at the table next to her there's a gal vaping merrily away. My wife, of course, stuck up a conversation with her and, come to find out, the whole family (husband, grandma, and daughter) who were there with her vape too! Haven't found anyone local who does yet, but run into someone from half a world away that does!! And, as it turns out, they are running short on juice (their useage being a little higher than normal being on vacay) and my spouse gave them directions to our local smoke-shop that carries juices. So, new friends met and a good deed done all in the same afternoon!! Vapers Unite!! :)

Ha! Love it...

Our (large) company just moved a large chunk of the IT Staff out of their offices and into a brand new cube farm (pretty nice actually, with lots of collaboration rooms and whiteboards...but I miss my office...sniff). My compratriot (and fellow vabor) share a double cubicle in the back where we promptly set up our own little vaper's lounge. Went out and got some sparkly stencils and spelled out 'Vaper's Lounge' on the plastic trim around the cube. It's subtle so whenever someone walks by and does a double-take we take a vape (house rule). The boss routinely directs visitors to the "cloud of smoke in the back."

Upper management discussed it and decided it was okay (although I'm prepared for that e-mail from the HR department). We've garnered a few converts and subsequently encouraged pre-existing vapers to come out of the shadows. Of course we don't vape in meetings (unless it's just close co-workers) but I like to play choo-choo going down the hallway. Great company.

So did you let him know you could hear him when he vapes? You must work in a large office complex with alot of people to have to
hunt for him and all. Cubicle prison?

Yeah I let him know I could hear it. I asked if anyone's said anything to him, he said no. We're a big IT company, so others probably think it's machinery or something. I know what it is, so I recognize it. I don't expect non-vapers to have any idea what a sizzling carto sound is.

It's kind of cubicle hell. Not terrible, but not ideal. There are several rows of cubes, and all I had to go on was a general direction. We have seated-level privacy, which is why it was so hard to track him down...

Ah yes, the cubicle farm. Yell "who stole my lunch!" and watch all the critters pop their heads up.

I once stood up and yelled "Who's hungry?" and watched heads come up and hands rise in the air. But no one wanted to walk to the room where all the free italian food was. Engineers for you.

Engineers for you.
Engineers! They are the people who can come up with a good design, work out the kinks, then redesign and create another whole set of kinks.

Being in the automobile business for 37 years I have seen this happen a bunch. It is not the rule or exception but it does happen.

Haha... You know, I am one of those engineers dammit! I've been around the block long enough at this point I have my own office... With a window...

In a building of offices without windows, that spells awesome sauce... LoL

Oddly enough, I hardly do any real "engineering" work anymore... I just make sure what other engineers are doing is not all jacked up... I always found it interesting how the longer you do your job, the less of your job you actually do...

But now EVERYTHING is my fault...

You just can't win... LoL

Anyway, glad you met your fellow vaper... And sad he's married... LoL, you'd be a catch!
