Like people have said, find other flavors to try. I was lucky, the disposables I found tasted great, so great that I find myself smoking less and wanting the vapor more (but using vapor more sparingly). Trust me, there are some VERY pleasant flavors out there -subjective or not, there is such a wide array of flavors something out there will rock your world.

Good luck. These things can be far more pleasant than burning tobacco -enough to make you just not want to burn cigs any longer.

Ya. The first ecig I tried tasted much like (I imagine!) camel sweat!! Now, I tried a few flavors and liked them very much... but found myself jonesin' for the flavor of tobacco one day and was given some RY4 to try - nice!!
OP - the one thing I can say for sure about this whole quitting/vaping thing is that the entire process - equipment, juices & their flavors, quitting paper cigs cold turkey or tapering down (you can find stories ranging from quitting the same day to tapering for months) - all of this is COMPLETELY subjective. You can find great ideas and info here - lots of support - but the end result is entirely up to you; your preference - your pace. Believe it or not - the unbelievable amount of info. really does start to make sense after a bit! ;) If YOU want to get away from the paper cigs - you will. If you find that using some sort of old sneaker for a vaporizer and mushroom flavored juice works for you...well, I'm worried about you, but congratulate you nonetheless!! (I do apologize if I've offended the one person out there who uses just that!!) Aw, hell, congrats just for giving it a shot!!

It's a huge learning process :) My husband and I don't have the same tastes. If he doesn't like something, he gives it to me. Odds are that I'll LOVE it. It goes the other way too.

You have to find what you like. Obviously, licking a nicotine patch wasn't working for you. Might be better off with gamadnechmad's idea about an old sneaker and mushroom juice! If you don't like something, that's about all it'll amount to anyway...

Have you tried searching for brick and mortar shops in your area? I didn't even know one existed, only to find out there were four here! And a fifth just opened... They're usually the small mom and pop type stores... no big hooplah when they open, so they just might be sneaking in without you realizing it. If you have one within a reasonable driving distance, run to them immediately! They should be able to walk you through the process and let you taste the good stuff while you're there.

If not, Heather's is a safeish bet. Then again, it may taste like mushroom juice to you! Heather's is not my "go to place", but it's the best one I've found online so far... Just starting to travel outside my circle though :)

I don't have any advice to add, other than seconding visiting a brick and mortar store if you're near one. I'm trying to find one near me, at the moment. I can say that I *DO* know what nicotine patch tastes like, and if your cartos taste that bad, omg, I am sorry. I'm feeling a bit nauseous just remembering that taste. (And for those wondering, it was an unfortunate incident involving opening a patch with my teeth - lesson quickly learned.)

Sent from the smart phone that wasn't. :)
