I have noticed two now - Vapor Kings and Altsmokes, every time I try to view their web site it freezes and I cant view the pages. I notice that Zopim is running but Vapor Kings said that was not a problem just their chat program, but today I noticed it on Altsmokes also.

I typically do not have any problems with any other websites. We have DSL, I run Windows XP, and my puter is about 5 years old. Hubby runs windows xp on a 2 y/o emachine. He has no issues viewing these sites.

Does anyone know why these two vendor sites would freeze my computer? Is it the Zopim?

Might see if it's an issue with Adobe Flash also (by turning it off) - I had some Flash issues that did this kind of thing for a while myself and it turned out to be a bad version of Flash. You could also try to update to the latest versions of both Java and Flash.

If all else fails, you can always install an alternative browser (Mozilla FireFox, Google Chrome, etc.) and see if that helps.

Good luck - that's frustrating when it happens.

I've been having the same problems lately. Uninstalled some programs. Did a clean up of registry, deleted temp files, disk check, defrag.
Reboot.
Repeat process.
Reboot.
Tick off processes - thinking too many programs running in the background.
Reboot.:mad::mad:
Repeat.
Cuss at the computer.:-x:-x:-x:-x:-x
Blow out the dust bunnies.
Reboot.
Screw it. I'm just gonna use my computer to power my passthrough and watch a frozen screen:D

I had the same problem with altsmoke and said something about it here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/altsmoke/12790-have-question.html#post698038

seemed to me that their chat provider (olark at the time) was down and the rest of the page wouldn't continue to load until it connected to the chat service/server.
Maybe they should move that code to the bottom of their page so that at least the rest of the page loads first.

What version of browser and so forth are you running?

(hope I can post here...sorry mods)

lol i knew you were gonna ask that.... I am still using 6.0.2900.2180, but but in my defense..I never ever update (on purpose), it usually just makes matters worse and then I'll be just like 316 up there - vaping in front of frozen screen <sigh>

and, i really dont have a problem viewing other websites
