Beaumont Police Department Spokesman Sgt. Rob Flores says that a 80-year-old woman witnessed a man burglarizing her neighbor's house around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of Ironton.
Sgt. Flores says the woman walked into her front yard and began yelling at the burglar, causing him to drop property he was taking from the home and run away. Another neighbor saw what was happening and chased after the burglar, until police were able to arrive and take the burglar into custody.
So, they are my heroes....even if they really aren't doing too hot....and never really have. I
