Our e-cigs finally showed up!!!! /dance

I know 4 business days for delivery isn't *really* a long time, but I tell ya, it was the longest 4 business days of my life!!! My wife called me at work mid-way through the day to let me know they'd arrived and to mildly gloat that she'd already used hers a little; and for the next 4 hours I was pulling my hair out waiting to come home.

I've now been home for 4 1/2 hours and I haven't touched an analogue. Haven't even thought of it actually! I would never have believed it, I thought for sure I'd crave an 'actual' smoke... at least once. It may still come, I know. But to have even gone this long without thinking about it is a little startling!

My wife and I cut ourselves down to about 12-15 smokes a day (down from a pack each) in the last year and a half. She's been smoking about 15 years, me for 12. She said in 6 hours she hasn't even considered it...

This could really be it! :D

Oh, and we got the eV L510 starter kits from Electro Vapors.com.

I know the feeling. I was fortunate to have ordered my kit and juice from local vendors, so everything showed up next business day, which was pretty awesome -- and even that wait was torture. But I don't regret it and I'm in the same boat: The first vape I had marked the last cigarette I'd smoked. Almost a week in and I haven't looked back.

Sweeeeeet.....

I've been using a 510 for 4 months now... apart from the short battery life, they rock. I suggest highly a PCC (one for each of ya), as it recharges battys when you're away from a power source, while holding your spare batt, an atty, and a couple of carts.

Also, if you're like me and spend lots of time travelling, a USB passthrough combined with a 12v adapter for the car is a godsend!. I've got an adapter with 2 USB ports; one for the passthrough, and one to keep my PCC always charged up. Leave the house at 5 am, come home at 2 am, and walk in the door with 2 batteries still fully charged :)

Congrats on yer switch! You do realize you're going to become obsessed with this now, right? Trying different models, flavors, low resistance attys, mods.....

Ah, just enjoy the moment.

Congratulations on getting started. I know how you feel....I couldn't believe I didn't even want a cigarette after I got my kit. I actually smoked a few in the first few days...just because I couldn't believe I didn't want one. And when I did have one, it was nasty. It's really almost too good to be true. I kept waiting for something to go wrong....or waiting to wake up from the dream. But it's been 64 days now (but who's counting, lol) and I haven't awakened from the dream yet. In fact....it all just gets better and better as I fine-tune my equipment and my juice choices. It's just sooooo much fun!

Well, just before going to bed, my wife decided she wanted a 'real' smoke just to carry her through the night. I figured what the heck, so I grabbed the last smoke we had to join her... three drags in I had to put it out... I can't believe this. Now, my wife's having a stressful day at home and she's going out to pick up a pack of analogues. I didn't try to talk her out of it or anything, since I don't see a huge problem with it. As long as she's cutting out some analogues, I'm happy. Although I am really interested to see what she has to say about the choice when I get home!

Unfortunately the batteries that we got aren't the standard 510 batts. They're 190mAh so they're about 2mm longer than standard... thus, they won't fit in the standard 510 PCC's unfortunately. I'm learning today that a battery solution is in need for work, though. One batt got me 4 hours of moderate vaping... about as much as I would normally smoke, so I'm worried that the second batt won't quite make it til I get home... we'll see.

I think the 510 Solar charger might be in my future. :)

Cool Spot, good for you. I am going to recommend not getting all the extra batts and stuff but just get the Ego or Riva instead. World of difference and batts last a long time. Cheaper in the long run. Even better is the lazer mod from Ikenvape, the batts last a fairly long time and are cheaper to replace.

I'm thinking fairly strongly about the eGo, or the Mr Big 016 from Electro Vapors.com (I believe they're the same thing). It seems like it should last me the whole day... I'd still carry the extra 510 batt just in case, too, so I wouldn't have to worry at all... Not sure which option I like better between the eGo/Mr Big batt or the solar charger...

The Mr. Big that they sell is a Hello 016. It has a 1300mah battery. YES one thousand three hundred compared to the wimpy 190mah that you have now. The hello batteries last me ALL day, and I chain vape.

It will also use the 510 atomizer, and carts. So do not buy the kit, as the cone atomizer it comes with is HORRIBLE. Buy the battery, and charger as separate pieces and you will be happy with it.

P.S The ego is 650mah, and the MEGA ego or eGo XL is a 900mah battery.

I looked at both of those as well -- my initial plan was to order from Electro-Vapors after talking with Kat and finding their customer service most excellent. Unfortunately they didn't have anything I wanted in stock by the time I was ready to order so I went elsewhere. I believe the Mr. Big is equivalent to the Hello 016 which is very similar, but the cone cover is a little bit different as I understand it so they're not completely interchangeable. I went with the eGo only because it seem more common and I can get parts very easily whenever I need it. (Most Canadian vendors carry parts for the 510s and eGo kits, and you can use attys and I think batteries from the eGo on the 016 but not the cone cover or mega cone attys, at least not without modification.) If you want Mr. Big for the larger battery you can just get the eGo kit and buy a 1000 or 1300mAh battery for it. Also keep in mind that their Mr. Big kit only comes with 1 battery, while the eGo has 2.

I got my eGo from Happyvaper.com (they're based in Mississauga so quicker shipping for you) for the same price Electro Vapors is selling their Mr. Big. Jack at HV is also a great guy to deal with -- very friendly, always willing to help out and offer advice.

    Just my $0.02 Canadian. :D

There are no 1300mah batteries for the ego, and why would he buy another kit when all it comes with besides the battery are atty's and carts?? he has attys and carts that will work on the eGo. If he goes that way, he can buy a cpl 650 or 900mah eGo batteries, a cone, and a charger.
