So a thinner liquid with a bit more stuffing in the cart to avoid flooding?

My point was that VG produces better vapor and it isn't the fact that it is thick that does it. However you do thin out VG because it's pure viscosity can inhibit wicking from the filler and can stick to parts of the atomizer and become heated and create gunk. VG in and of itself doesn't 'create problems with atomizers' as many here have said, because you're not supposed to vape 100% VG - you thin it out to 'normal viscosity' good for vaping and it will never cause you any problems and creates much more vapor in the process. I use a blue foam plug with the straw mod and never have had any leaks regardless of how thin the ejuice was. I cannot say the same for PTB for example, but then it's the type of folds you make that makes that usable, imo. Otherwise it can leak.

So, no you don't need more stuffing in the cart to avoid flooding, even with thin ejuice. Even polyfill will hold thin ejuice. I suppose if you thinned it out to the viscosity of water that you might have a problem with some fillers, but I'm guessing that's not what you meant.

Actually right now I use about 30/70-VG/PG and it seems a bit thick. I have not thinned it out any more than the 70% PG already does, but may try a bit of PGA just to see.

I am using Fluval foam and DO occasionally have flooding problems, but I may just have to adjust the amount of filler.

Thanks for your help.

Ah... yes I always dilute the VG first before using it to blend with PG. So dilute the VG with PGA or H20 first at a 80:20 VG/H20 blend and THEN mix with your PG. 30/70 should do rather well I would think. Consider a vent straw mod:

I cut a diagonal on top too, just to keep it off the bridge. I find the Johnson & Johnson 'safety swabs' Qtips shafts work best - for venting without leaking. My blue foam plug is only 1/8 to 1/4 inch and is only on the top - I let the bridge determine it's depth and the rest of the cart well is all juice. But you could do similar with the fluval foam - if you don't like the idea of all the juice 'free' in the cart well, when you cut off the bottom for the straw mod, just cut a bit more than it says ;-)
