Well, what a nice coincidence, Igetcha69 just did a review on the Alphamax:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...iews/191391-hi-def-review-alpha-ultramax.html

Thanks for the review. Very interesting. The RES part of the PV sounds quite interesting. I like the innovation they developed, assuming it works consistenty without a high degree of maintenance required. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a 3.7v/6v PV, I would be interested. If they had made it either a 5 volt or a variable volt PV, I would be much more interested. I understand why they didn't but neither of those power levels are close enough to the sweet spot of 4.5v to 5v, for me.

Ebbnflow the Reos turn people into pod people or something. :)

You haven't actually been all that clear about what it is you are trying to improve. For the money you have to spend. You can get what you mentioned which seems a little pricey for what it is. You can get a Reo and have a truly wonderful bottom feeder but, you're limted to 4 voltages. For me, one of those voltages is too low for me and the others are too high. If there were a true VV Reo, I'd probably turn into a pod person too.

So, what has you thinking about a mod? What would you like to improve in order of importance?

Thanks for all the replies folks
All of the suggestions you have made are all solid.

The Reo's are really awesome, the only thing I really dislike about them is aesthetics other than that I can see no real complaints.
The Provari- Awesome device but odds are I'll break it.
As far as any VV devices go I'm really not to concerned with 4.5v, 6v, or any high voltage vaping. I'm fine with 3.7v and an LR Atty of some sort.
Now back to the Apex Alpha Ultramax. After seeing Grimm's review I'm pretty much sold on it. I love the looks the way the button works but whats really got me is the Res system.

I truly appreciate everyones input and once again thank you.

I've just gotta throw my 2 cents in here for the REO Grand or the REO Mini mods (the REO Woodvil is a real BEAUTY!). I started vaping on an eGo-T and thought I'd never go for a funny shaped box mod either, but I have to tell you, having a bottle (6ml on the grand and 3ml on the Mini) is the BEST THING EVER. I was changing my eGo-T cart 4-5 times a day. That's no big deal because the carts are so easy to fill, but NOT having to do that is even better. They both just work phenomenally well! I LOVE them. I love them so much, I bought 3 in a month. I now vape on the REO Woodvil, Grand and Mini and couldn't be happier. The Mini is perfect for the car. The battery life is really good on these too. If I vape the mini all day, I usually have to change the battery once (I'm a chain vaper). The Grand usually lasts me all day. I charge the battery at night. A 6ml juice bottle lasts for 2 days and the 3ml lasts a day....depending on if I vape the Grand, Woodvil and eGo-T too (with different flavored juices. :) I also use the Cartos on my REO's and love them. I had never used a carto before I bought the REO and they're SO EASY. It's Trouble-free vaping on a REO mod. There ya go...for what it's worth. :)

I agree with post #5 wv2win, it depends what you want and your tastes, there is no question the Darwin and the Provari are the best in variable voltage, and the Reo mini or Grand or Ali'i are the best in juice fed. The EclipseEQ is supposedly the best top fed VV coming out this month for $300 or so. From there down there are dozens to choose from. I am only speaking becuase I own the Reo, Ali'i and the Provari and the Darwin is well known as one of the best vv but I do not own that.

I tried the Provari and the Darwin and they are both pretty great. I like the Darwin a bit better but what I liked about it most was the dial up/down variable voltage on a thumb wheel. Why I bought an Infinity. $79 and a VV wheel. No bells and whistles.

I will pick up a EclipseEQ when it comes out just to have another electronic device to fiddle with and I want a bottom feeder.
