I experienced something similar when I started vaping. PG is a dehumectant, so your skin has probably become dehydrated. Is it on the inside of your nose our the outside? For me it was inside my nose, and a combination of saline nasal spray and drinking more water sorted it out within a week. If your problem is on the outside of your nose, try a good moisturiser in combination with increasing your water intake.

Did you perhaps get a little juice on your fingers and then rubbed your nose?

Yeah I'm thinking the same. I always wash my hands after a fill as I always seem to have some juice in my hand afterword. :)

+1 on the saline nose spray for the inside. My nose drys out anyway due to being in AZ. The saline spray is a big help.

I meant to say... I'm drinking loads of water. Maybe I should try a moisturiser like you suggested.

I'm wondering why vaping could have this effect on my skin though!

If the soreness is contained to that one area, and you're not breaking out in hives - it's more than likely to be dehydration. Having said that, it may not be related to vaping at all. Quitting smoking can also cause sores to appear in or around the nose and mouth. I see you're in the UK - pop down to Boots and get some Sudocrem to begin with. If it gets worse, go see your doc.

Just a quick update. I've decided to try an experiment. I'm back on analogs today, not touched my PV at all. Ill stick with the analogs till the weekend and see if this red skin irritation goes away. If it does, then it must be something to do with vaping that's causing it. Maybe the PG or VG, nic level or the flavouring that is causing my skin problem. It's nothing to do with dehydration because I am continually drinking water at my desk and as a result.. Running to the toilet every 20 minutes.

Thanks. I really really want this vaping lark to work out. It's so much nicer than smoking. Really love the fact there is no smell and that I'm not stinking of cigs all the time.

It's probably just my luck that I have some kind of allergy to something in the liquid and as a result, il not be able to vape :(

I've just ordered up a boat load of juice from MBV as well. Not to mention initial expense of buying my 2 starter kits.

It could even be a juice specific allergy. Sometimes certain dyes and flavorings can react with people. I did have a transition period of my body breaking out with acne like a teenager when i stopped smoking. It was huge change for my body.

Since last Friday, I've been rotating round 5 different juices. All of which I got with my starter kits. It could be related to this, as they are all from same manufacturer. Ill be able to test out this theory once my MBV order arrives. That will probably be a couple I weeks since I'm in the UK and shipping from The States via USPS will take ages no doubt.

i have ... my first purchase was the basic blu starter kit (as many seem to do) and at first i did not have this issue; however, when i got my second round set of batteries and cartomisers (2 x 78mm sealed auto volts from smokeless image with a package of their "strong sampler" as well as a package of stainless steel xl "blanks" which i filled with some cheap, generic eliquid i bought at a gas station) i noticed that my face, neck, and lips would get itchy, reddish, and very dry after only a few minutes of use (not to mention the following morning i would wake up feeling like desert face and mouth, even drinking LOTS of water!) - which was kind of a shame insofar as the si flavours went, as i really enjoyed some of them!! after doing my "research" on these forums, i found out about the whole pg/vg issue and rush-ordered a couple of samplers from virgin vapors. i surely do not have the $$ to buy exclusively from their "absolute virgin" line, but it made a HUGE difference in my ability to actually enjoy what has been (for me) a good alternative to the crappy side effects of cigarettes and cigars. my latest eliquid has been from mt. baker vapor - i order the 70/30 vg/h20 mix and haven't had any problems with any of these either!! good luck!!

I got the same problem when I first started vaping. With me its the whole face, it's all red and itchy I cant even go to sleep, what I notice is because I really enjoy making big ploom fo vapor and walking right past it, it is somehow affecting my skin. What I did is try to blow vapors away from my face as much as I can, and at night wash my face with a good cleansing moisturizing facial wash and put moisturizer on it before bed that solve my problem, no more itchy face.

Hope you would be able to find a solution soon.

That's a great point. I'm thinking this could be related to my issue. When you think about it. Vapor we exhale is basically water molecules which will be wet by nature. Compared to smoke which is particles, vapor might have more of a tendency to stick to your skin an therefore the nicotine is sticking to my face/nose more than smoke would. I don't know though, it's just a theory but sort of makes sense. Ill certainly try this out.
