Was loungin on the couch vaping away at this new carmel apple cart I got in the mail earlier when all of a sudden my vape stopped making any smoke at all but the light comes on solid. Changed to 2 other cartomizers and same thing. Nothing. Week old battery. Will V4L send out a replacement or do I gotta send this one back first and then wait?

yeah just email them they will generally just send you a new one and you can trash the other one.

I think the new policy is that they send a replacement right away but want the bad one returned, when you can, so they can do quality test. That way they can try to minimize that type of problem in the future.

Don't throw out the "bad" battery... sometimes they ask for them back.

I just got a replacement battery & inside was an RMA asking for the broken one back. Granted the battery they were replacing had actually broke apart & I sent pics with my e-mail, so they may want to see why it came apart. (I was changing a carto when it came apart) Brand new battery.. maybe a week or two old.

Have you tried cleaning the battery? I find a sudden cut-off to happen with a dirty battery (electrically isolated, not enough current can pass through to fire the atomizer). Outside of that, yes, it's a failure.

It appears you gave us a whole lot of information - but not the all important: manual or automatic?

The switch or the FET in an auto can fail in such a way that no [significant] current passes through whilst the LED still illuminates. There's a handful of instances where any of several culprits may cause it. Over-filling or poor storage handling are the two biggies, but there are other things that can do it too.

While we are on this subject:

I have a reg auto that I LOVE......last night it quit working...no LED, nothing.

When I plug it in to charge the batt doesn't blink and the charger turns red and stays red.

Is it a goner.....anything I can try. It is about 2 months old, but I rotate it with about 6 others and mods....so it should have some life left.

Thanks!
