So I have been reading about bottom feeders for a couple of months, I really want to try a Reo with a RM2, but I have a few questions. Right now I have a few tube mods, multiple Carto tanks, a Protank, and a few RBA drippers. Some days I like to switch flavours a lot ( which the currant sets ups help with, it's strange today I have used one juice all day, tomorrow I might go thru 6 flavours). What do you guys do for switching flavours? I was thinking maybe have a few bottles at the ready, including one of unflavoured to use in between switching? Do spare bottles come with caps? Is it easy to switch on the go? How empty can the bottle get before refilling. I DIY, Usually 60/40 if that makes any difference.

I have an A7, and I don't like it at all. If you we're to compare a RM2 to another RBA, what would be the most similar?m I really like my Igo L's, so I am really curious if they are similar at all?

i am coming from owning 2 Provari's, and an Evic. I'm guessing that I should go with a VV grand? I usually am between 3.8-4.2 volts, depending on my juice, and the delivery device.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me.

You have come to the right place :) I can help with some stuff, others will be able to help with stuff I don't know :)

The RM2 is really unlike any other atty. it is durable and vapes as good as a chalice. The posts are spread out and very easy to coil. The juice delivery and draining is very good. What separates it from the rest is the ceramic base - this means no shorts from the base and no insulators to melt / wear out / be faulty. The screw in cap is excellent and its fairly compact. I can't think of a negative about it.

A vv grand is a very sweet piece of vape gear. Great battery life and in hand feel combined with great electronics in a very durable package.

It would be an awesome choice, however, a grand (or mini 2.1) is also excellent, as you can regulate the vape heat by adding or dropping a few coils in your RBA. No self respecting vaper should be without at least 1 grand in their possession.

Yes, you can get bottles with caps from Rob, just specify that in your order.

You can't go wrong with any REO. Most of us have several different models and / or several same models. My best suggestion would be to get a grand, a vv grand and 2 RM2 s to start. You are most likely gonna want another REO, this will save you shipping, wait time and that paranoia that strikes when you think of having to use any other device if you ever lose your REO :)

Well I am by far no expert but Rob the seller of the Reo's sells extra bottles very cheap. His service and reputation is stellar. You could very easily switch bottles out. And yes the bottles come with caps for storage. When switching bottles the cap stays on the tube in the mod so you just need to screw on a new bottle.
As far as RBA's. Someone else in the reo forum would be better able to help you. I am way to new to RBA's. Go to the Lounge III There are many expert members there that are always willing to help and answer questions.
If you use a thin juice the Reo's come with a reducer tube. I use Boba's which is thick so I don't need the reducer but it vapes like heaven. You would never regret buying a reo!

Can't you just put any atomizer on a REO (sacrilege, I know)? If a newbie wanted to drip different flavors; couldn't they just do the unthinkable, and toss an IGO on it?

edit: must admit tho. that's the last thing on my mind. Enjoying it so much, not even thinking about swapping flavors. (maybe that's a satisfaction/dissatisfaction affect, the flavor switching)

I only vape two flavors in my Reos and have a mod for each. When I want something different I go to a dripping device or a tank. Normally I only want another flavor for a short while then I go back to my all day vapes. As far as the A7 goes, you wont get much love for it from me. The RM2 vapes just as well as any other higher priced RBA that I have used. I have been using RBA's for about a year now and will never go back to a standard type atty. I will put up with a carto and a tank for a short while, but not for very long. The RBA's give me better flavor, better vapor all around better vape than any other atty or carto that I have used. You cant go wrong with the Reo and a RM2.

Thanks for the quick reply, I've read about your micro coils and I really want to give them a try. I have some XC116 on the way and I can't wait to try it out ( I also saw pdib thread as well, makes it soooo much more tempting). So....if you were me, never having tried a bottom feeder before what would be the suggestion? I keep going back and forth between the mini 2.1 and the VV grand ( since I haven't had a bottom feeder before I don't want to order both at once what if I am that odd one out and don't like it?). I also haven't tried a mechanical, so I am not sure on if I like those. Decisions, decisions...

There are quite a few bottom fed RBAs that work on a grand / vv grand / 2.1. The ones I am familiar with and can recommend besides the RM2 are a chalice and hornet/era.

The A7 works too as do The killer and the ebarron. And there are others that I hear of.

I am also certain that you can use dripper RBA's and drip from the top, but which ones specifically, I don't know.

Wow, in the time I wrote my reply to super x, already more replies! About switching flavours, I don't know what it is, some days I am good with my 2 main ones (pear and melon) and other days I have to switch a lot to be able to keep tasting the juice. Maybe it's because I am still quite new to this. IDK. I hate that with my carto tanks seem to gunk up even when not in use ( what I take to work because they are leak free and not much fiddling once they are set up). I like my Protank, but when I chain vape it doesn't keep up. I love my Igo L's, just not the refilling part, so I think I'll like bottom feeding.

Me, I'd start with a grand, 3 18650 batteries, 2 RM2s, 2 extra springs and as many extra bottles as you need. All this will set you back about the same as a vv grand and 1 rm2 alone.

I started with mini 2.0s and loved em till I got my first grand. There's a damn good reason grands are the most popular model. They kick ....

Then, get your vv grand in the future so you have something else to look forward to :)

That's how we roll up in here :) it's kinda slow right now (everyone must be sleeping) but you will certainly get a lot more replies soon I bet :)

You can pretty much buy any REO with confidence. They are all very good.

They are the best vaping power tools ever made IMO. I don't even think of using anything but them.

I don't want to have to buy a device for each flavour, some days I only vape one or two, other days my taste buds are weird and I need 5-6 different ones and a lot of rotation. I think it may be because I am only 4 months off of analogs. I like dripping, but at times I am in the yard at work for an hour or two and can't get back in the office to get my stuff, so a bottom feeder would work well.

You should all be paid salesman....I had read a lot in the forum, and now with this thread I am thinking about buying one tonight. Just need to decide which one i want to buy to start out with.

Thanks again to everyone for the replies.

The feeling of helping someone is a fair wage to me :).

Oh, and I just ordered a hammertone silver grand and RM2 that should arrive next week. My vape gear collection will then consist of:
Vv grand silver anodized
Grand black wrinkle
Grand silver hammertone
Grand red anodized
3 rm2s
2 chalices

I like backups :). I only vape unflavored nic base.

Oh, just saw your note about vaping outside - I don't take my vv grand out in dusty / potentially dirty environments. They cannot be washed in the sink like a grand or mini.

I'll be 9 months off cigs in two weeks:).

If your at all worried about being outside with a VVG Get a grand or a mini 2.1. I have a 2.0 same as 2.1 but mi e had a smalle catch cup. I bored mine out to take my era RBA's. in 8 hours at work I will typically change batts once some days I don't need to depends on how busy I am. Any ways the reason I suggest mechanical is ease of cleaning and no need to worry about dirt. I have a grand too and a VVG. The VVG is my desk couch vape the grand typically just sits around doing nothing. My 18490 wood is my bed vape. The wood is so much warmer than the metal if you fall asleep with it and happen to roll over on it. The metal can be shockingly cold in the middle of the night on some more sensitive parts of the body. Either way whatever you order I hope your as happy with it as I am all mine. Oh and the rm2 is a great RBA for getting set up with. Plus if you go mech you won't need to worry so much about bolts but more ohms. Easy to adjust the vape with a different ohm coil.

Just a side note re: switching flavors. You can easily drip a different flavor into the atty through the drip tip (*snickers*), and that will last you several vapes. You can then resquonk from the onboard bottle, or drip a few more times, it's up to you. Probably not a good idea if you vape flavors that don't mix well or are VERY strong, but could easily satisfy that urge for a short changeup.

I just did that ↑. went out for a vape after reading the OP question, popped the drip tip, dripped some blueberry into an otherwise lemon thang. Nice. After a short while, I was lemon again. So, I came to post that, and ancient puffer had already suggested it. Anyway, that resolves that. 5 hrs into my first REO experience and LOVING IT!!! (BTW Grand + RM2)

I got my Grand a few days ago and am using a 510 atty with it. Works great. Easy to drip for a quick change of flavor. Don't have the Rm2 (yet). Trying to decide if I want a VV or a Mini 2.1 when I do order.

In my opinion, the Reo Grand is the best choice for a mechanical mod. I like it better than my Gus tele and my GP Paps. Plus, it stands up and doesn't tip over as easily as the tube mods. Lots of positives for buying one.

I agree with all that is said here- I own 8 Reo's in all...
The Grand is hard to beat. Although I love my VV Reo's (woodvil and vvgrand), building a good coil is key and with the new Reomizer2, the Grand stands up to any mod that is variable volts, plus it is not finicky in regards to adjusting volts, etc. Rugged, can be thrown in a pan of water for washing, etc. If I was starting out today, I'd get a Grand (even a blemished one for cheaper- oh, and even these, it's hard to tell what's blemished), one RMZ would do it...and don't forget to buy some wick and wire from Rob too!
Good luck but once you got Reo, you won't want to go back!!

Just another option...I'm a lot like you, I have an IGO-L on a natural that I like. I bought a mini 2.1 and LOVE it so much so that I bought a Grand and Kicket it, Now I have the best of both worlds. I'm doing DIY now! I have 2 RM2 and VERY HAPPY !!!! All the people here are very helpful. You can't go wrong with a REO !!!!
