I use the DCT tanks and they work just fine but the tank slipping up and down the cart does drive me insane. I want to try one of the new ones with the lock ring but I know I'll have to dremel some slits in the ring so it will get airflow with my provari.
I don't have the name or the link, but I've seen adaptors that are very nice looking on a Provari that are made especially for this. Sorry not to be more help, but know they are out there...keep an eye out or start a thread if anyone knows what I describe.

Yeah, you are talking about the Hippo airflow adjuster from Atmistique. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/euro-suppliers/360395-atmistique-mods-accessories-more.html I just recieved mine yesterday and I'm pretty happy with it. :)

did you have problems with the tank slidding off?
I bought one of these a few months ago and the tank slid right off the carto when i went to pick it up. Haha right after that i picked it up off the ground, cleaned up the mess, and threw it in the trash.

no i have not it has the locking ring.it doesnt move at all.
