Hi, I am thinking about purchasing a joye 510 ecig. I have never used an ecig before and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how these "E-juices" taste. Are these flavors like pecan pie and pina colada actually good? Im not looking at any particular flavors just more or less wondering how these juices actually taste. Do they taste similar to the flavored tobaccos that you smoke out of a hookah? I more or less wanted to know if they are actually good tasting and sweet. Also, I am set on the Joye510 as my first e-cig. Is this a good choice?

Brad's right, flavor and tast is subjective.

BUT, generally speaking about flavors.

Pecan pie juice, won't taste like eating a pecan pie.
Apple flavored juice won't taste like eating an apple.
You get just a hint of the flavor....not too strong

I never smoked a Hooka, so I can't really comment about that.

The 510 is a good choice, but again as Brad said, the batteries won't last long between charges (true for most ecigs).
Try an Ego, same thing as 510, just a MUCH longer lasting battery.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies. I read that the batteries are weak on the 510 but cant these batteries be swapped out for a better battery? The EGO is just so much more expensive than the 510 and also cant I get a USB Passthrough for constant power?

The juice questions were just to see if they are actually tasty or not really. Ive read some people like to smoke them after meals....we all know how good a cig is after a big meal.. :D

Anyone got some links for the best price on EGO or 510 starter kits. I found a 510 starter kit for 35$

Can't comment on the flavours. I've only tried tobacco flavor, and choco-mint. both are crude approximations of the real thing, but pleasant enough.
I got a 510 yesterday (actually three of them so I'd have spare parts).
The battery lasts me a couple of hours. Luckily I also bought a PCC
(Personal Charging Container) which recharges the battery in about an hour
(and holds spare cartidges and atomiser). I just finished my first full
8 hour work day - went through nearly 3 cartidges of fluid, and nearly 4 batteries - I just alternated between using the battery in
the e-cig, and having one on charge. Worked great. It takes about 4 hours
to charge the PCC, so I'll plug it in tonight, refil the used cartidges, and I
should be ready for another day away from home.

Like a lot of folks my first thought was that I needed to replace cigarettes with something that tasted like cigarettes. The thought of something sweet was a little repellant. I was wrong. Nothing I tried tasted like a real cigarette. On the other hand, having studied forum posts for awhile before getting my pv, I ordered a bunch of sample liquids of various non tobacco flavors. Some I liked, a few I liked a lot. None of the ones I wound up liking were tobacco flavors.

Some folks do like the tobacco flavors though. I'm just not one of them. Finding the right liquids that I really enjoyed was by far the hardest part of my pv journey, It isn't that hard though. Good luck!

There are liquids that taste similar to tobacco cigarettes and those that don't. Some vendors liquids are better, or more acurate to the "real" thing than others.

Taste is subjective, true, but I know I'm not alone when I say that there are vendors whose liquids come pretty damn close to the real thing when it comes to sweets and baked goods...Tasty Vapor and MsTs two of them...their stuff tastes NOTHING like flavored tobaccos! (and yes...their flavors are GOOD :) ) No, actually, they're great!

The Joye 510 is a good style to start with and the $35 is a good price. It will give you the vapor and feel of a good vaping kit. The batteries usually lasted me about 2-3 hours but my wife could go 3-5 hours on one. Depends how heavy a vaper you are.
As for juice, I've always went with tobacco flavors such as Flue Cured Tobacco and USA Mix/Marlboro. My wife has always used the fruit flavors and liked almost all. She's settled on Candy Cane for the last few months.
Of the fruit flavors I've sampled, the basics are usually the strongest and taste like what they are, ie. Cherry, Grape, Orange, Watermelon etc. It's usually the odd ones that seem strangest.
If you go larger in kits, the Joye eGo is my recommendation. I get an average of 8-9 hours and my wife gets 10-12 hours, or more, on each battery. Plus, you get to use your 510 atomizers and carts. As for the 510 atomizers, we've had most last for several weeks. Some for a month or two.
It's going all be subjective to your own tastes. Welcome to the Forums and good luck in your vaping. We haven't had a regular cigarette in over one year, thanks to ecigs.

Domestic vapor has starter kits from 19.99 - 24.99 (I suggest getting a kit with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers). They are sold out of 510's or they're just not listed anymore. I have ordered twice from them and bought 3 kits total (510 and two 910s) . They are awesome and both orders were at my house within 3 days of purchase/shipped. I am going to do a review of them and another vendor in about a week. Once I have fully tested all my products and juices.

As for juices, I prefer chocolates, peanut butter, banana. I have a sweet tooth, lol. I don't like any coffee flavors that I've tried so far. I have only dealt with Viking Vapor and the Blu variety pack juices, but I plan on buying from Mrs. Ts bakery soon.

I've only been vaping for 3 weeks and think the most important thing is to find a really good PV and then start finding the juices your pallet loves.

Ya 35 isnt a bad price to try something out. Like i said ive never done this before so i dont know what to expect. I only smoke like 5-6 cigarettes a day. Hopefully this will help me quit regular cigarettes all together.

Can anyone tell me if im right or wrong with this.
To me it seems as if the EGO and the 510 are the same thing except for the battery size. It states that the EGO uses 510attys. To me I assume that If i wanted to add a EGObattery to a 510 that it wouldnt be that hard. Is this correct?

--CLIFF, and all Others that have Quit. i am glad to hear you quit cigarrettes. They are a very addicting, dirty, expensive and unhealthy habit. Quitting cigs is harder than dropping a bad coc habit. hah

Welcome, LightItUp!

Juices vary from vendor to vendor. It's a shame that our tastes aren't all alike. If they were we could depend on several people's reviews to key us in on the best vape. BTW, we differentiate between smoking tobacco and vaping E-juice so that everyone knows what you are referring to. Smoking means burning leaves in a paper tube. Vaping means creating smoke-like vapor from an electronic cigarette. (grin)

The 510 is a good choice and many of us have them, as well as the Ego or one of its counterparts. The Ego is a good work vape, especially if you buy the mega atomizers and the mega carts. The mega cart will hold 26-30 drops with a dry filler inserted.

Battery life is not bad on the 510 if you have a place to keep one on charge at work or in the car. There are some battery chargers out now that use a USB cable with adapters for car charging and AC. You just plug the USB end into the correct charger and you're set. Personally, I like the Ego batteries if I leave the house. They are pretty much good for the day. I just carry a small bottle of juice and top off from time to time.

You can buy Ego batteries and use them with your 510 atty and carts. The kicker is that an Ego battery takes 6 or more hours to charge on a 510 charger. That's not so bad considering that it will be charged before you need to swap. The Ego battery charger charges them in an hour to an hour and a half. You also would want the cones to sleek up the appearance. By the time you buy the batteries, charger, and cones, you can get the whole Ego kit for a few bucks more. I priced it all out and decided to get the kit. In addition to the batteries, charger, and cones, I got 2 more attys, 5 pre-filled carts, and a carrying case, which was well worth the difference.

-I'm pretty new at this too, but that's correct as far as I can tell. But when I was looking into adding an EGO battery to my 510 kit, I almost forgot that you will also have to have an EGO battery charger because the 510 charger won't work with it. So....it's not just adding a battery, it's adding a charger as well. The little things start adding up.........but no matter what, it's better than smoking. Period. I got a 510 and am very happy with it. BUT...if I were just now buying, I think I would get the EGO kit just because it starts getting expensive to keep adding stuff....and that EGO battery is very enticing.

The juices....I thought I needed to replace the tobacco flavor from cigs for me to be able to quit....but I've found that I like the sweet flavors MUCH better. Didn't seem logical at first, but turns out to be true. Good luck.
