Thinking about eGo T but have questions

I have been using and eGo C upgrade passthrough on the 3.7v setting plugged in or, I guess, 3.3v unplugged. Tonight I decided to try using it at 4.2v plugged in. I like it much better with both the juices I vape. But, it worries me because it gets so hot... both the battery and the carto. Is that normal? And does the eGo T vv get hot like that? Also, do all the various vvs get hot at 4.2v? Thanks.

edit: I said eGo T and don't know if that's right. I don't mean the tank as I use cartos only. I mean the eGo VV that people complain about the small numbers on. That's the one I'm thinking about getting but can't see a way to edit the heading on my post.

Yes, it is normal for the carto and top of the batt to get warmer as you increase the voltage...after all, you're increasing the heat in the carto coil. How hot it gets depends on how much/often you vape. If you're a chain vaper, they can get pretty darn hot. Using a carto tank can help because it provides more thermal mass and the constant supply of e-liquid keeps the coils in the carto cooler.

There is nothing wrong with the eGo Twist other than it is limited to 2.5 amps and won't go above 4.8 volts. But, if either of those is a real limiter to you, you just need to jump to a beefy mod.

might want to get yourself a vamo or something if you are liking higher volts,heat is normal as you increase the volts nothing to worry about.

I was just looking at the Vision Spinner. It looks like the numbers would be easier to see and the bumps to grip and turn the voltage. Is that the only difference in the two?

Actually, the test results I have seen indicate that the Spinner does not quite pull of 4.8 volts under load...it goes to more like 4.5 volts where the Twist really does 4.8. Otherwise, the Spinner seems to be a solid device and definitely easier to read.
