Since starting vaping again I've been using clearomizers, currently I'm using Vapeonly Mega BCC. I originally gave vaping a shot a few years ago, when cartomizers were the only thing on the market. I never had any luck with them, either they would dry out and burn, or I'd over compensate and end up with juice everywhere, so I've completely steered clear of them since vaping.

However the more I think about it, carto tanks seem like a good option for me. It seems like I go through quite a bit of juice a day, I'm not sure how much just that I have 5 to 6 of the megas (3.5 clearos) filled at a given time and I have to refill them every other day or so whether that's because of my setup or leakage. I use an eVic, at 10.4-11 watts, prefer 80pg/20vg but have a few 50/50s.

I don't want anything fancy... yet. Just something basic to see how I like it, 6ml, I'd like to try dual coil but not a deal breaker, prefer standard res or higher. Anyone have any suggestions whether model or where to get one for a good price.

I still have hit and misses with cartotanks. I use a 50/50 mix and it just doesn't seem to wanna flow right unless I use a high ohm carto like 2.0 and up. Once I do get it to do right it is heavenly that's why I even bother. Baditude has a blog on how to use carto's correctly from newbies to experienced, do a search on him or he'll stop by an bestow his blessings on ya! He really knows what he's talking about and makes it easy to understand. Good luck and Happy Vaping!

IBTanked will be a ways down the road, I've been over the site so many times, still produces ohs and ahs. So many ideas! But Avid Vaper isn't a name I've come across, I'll check them out.

I'm so glad you mentioned that site! They have a filling tool I've read about that goes for $14 on another site for half that.. :D

Hi Sally. I have been vaping for 4 years and I still use carto/tanks exclusively. I have a few Phiniac tanks (awesome all the way around) and Smoktech cartos (single-coil) purchased from IBTanked. It is the best and easiest set up IMHO. Phiniac has a wide variety of tanks and they can be customized.

I always enlarge the existing holes with a carto punch (from Phiniac) and use the little filler tool (also from Phiniac). I wish you all the best and let us know how it is going for you!

I'd say there's something for everyone in the vape universe - I, for one, really loved carto's, and still do! They're pretty wonderful.

Currently, I've fallen back in love with Clearo's (The Aspire Nautilus to be specific), but carto tanks/carto's are relatively inexpensive, and are convenient once you get the hang of 'em.

Best of luck to you! :)
