Thinking about going to EVODs from iClears. What is the difference in flavor, the good and bad

I am currently using iClear 10s clearos. I love the flavor but it is getting hard to find those and I really don't want to pay almost $6 for one. Healtcabin is out of stock. Due to this I was considering trying the EVOD. I searched the forum and see that people like them but have not come across any comparisons with the iClear, just protanks and others.

Thanks for the help

I never used the iClears since I had pretty much moved away from Clearos by the time those really got popular.

I have about a dozen EVODs though. I like them. THey are a bottom coil so it is a bit cooler vape than anything with a top coil. I have had good luck with them not leaking or gurgling. I only have 2 complaints. 1. Small capacity and 2. plastic not glass (not good for tank cracker juices).

These days I drip so everything that is not a dripper tends to taste muted to me. I am not a good candidate to explain the taste sorry.

I think what you'll notice the most, other than the difference in looks, is the warmth/coolness of the vape. iClears generally have a warmer vape due to the top coil design, and the Evods and other bottom coil clearomizers have a cooler vape. Also, the Evods have a slightly airier draw compared to the tight draw on the iClears. I think that the flavor is pretty much the same though. If you ever get into rebuilding your coil heads, the Evod heads are really easy to take on. If you rebuild them with cotton as your wicking material, the flavor is WAY better. Hope this helps!

I have Evods, Aro's, Protanks, and the top-coil Vivi Nova. Haven't tried the iClear but have considered the iClear30s which I think is a bit different. Anyway, having tried both top coil and bottom coil here is my opinion.

I like the ease of use and consistency of the bottom coils. I started with evods and have been very happy with them. I recently was sent some Vivi Nova 3mL tanks and I fell in love with the warmer vape and fuller flavor, but I find the coil cleaning and "swishing" aspect a bit of a pain. I also seemed to get dry hits or bad flavored drags every now and then, even when making sure the wicks were fully saturated. Funnily enough, I also get that from my protanks, and I don't really use them anymore because of that (and the "gurgle" factor). Never got any of this from the evods, or the Aro.

If someone could harness the warmth and flavor from the top coil with the ease of use and consistency of the bottom coil, I would be ecstatic.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
I have both Iclear 16s and Evods. I like to use the iclears when I want a warm vape. The advantage goes to Evods, though. Evod heads are easier to replace (and rebuild if you are interested in that). Evods make it easy to change flavors on the fly. Iclears tend to use more juice as well. Then there's the issue of the "swirling" you have to do to keep the iclears working. Since Evods are bottom coil, the juice is used more efficiently. I think evods are more sturdy (due to the metal construction) and can handle more use. They seem to last longer.

The evod was the first clearo I ever had and I still like it. I will say that innokin really has something with the iclear30s though. I like it more than the regular 30 and would recommend them to anyone. You can't really go wrong with a good old evod either though!

I have an iclear 30 and don't like it. It doesn't seem to breath very well.

I don't care for the draw on the iclear30's either. It was free with my MVP so I should mod it and have some fun I suppose. EVODs are my standard vape. I have put my EVODs through a crazy amount of use and fine tuned my vape with them. EVODs are like an old highschool friend to me, and I'll probably always have one in rotation. I do have a bit of advise though if you're like me and like an easier draw. I'd suggest getting a 1/16 steel bit and drilling out an existing airhole on the EVOD. To me the vapor production is better and it gives a relaxed draw. Nothing worse than feeling like your sucking a walrus through your clearo.

I really like the Evods but lately I've been using the Kanger T3S Clearomizer. Imo, the flavor seems to be a little better and I really like the larger fill capacity. I'm planning on trying the MT3 also. I think the MT3 is pretty much the same as the T3S but it comes with an aluminum tank. I think the Evods and T3S produce a much better flavor than the ProTanks. I just wish Kanger would make the Evod and T3S with a 510 connection and a removable tip.

I'm not talking about the regular iclear30, I am talking about the 30S. It's got a much less tight more airy draw that the regular 30 does. It's a really nice upgrade from the regular 30.

The iClear30 is different than the iclear30s--I've heard the 30s is phenomenal, but the regular one isn't that good.

Just an FYI for you guys
