Well, the PO delivered my iClear 30s and Protank today..they called me this AM to let me know they had it here in town and would be delivered today..in case you missed my rant, it was supposed to be here on Sat, but it was sent to the wrong town...

Anyhow... I must say, I really like them both..The Protank is a bit Airy, just like my Ts& MT3s...but that's OK, because I like that...some times. I did order some eVod replacement heads as seen suggested on here...my question for that...does it matter that the stems are shorter on one than the other? I'm REALLY loving the sleek look on my SS battery. That was really my only question for the Protank...is about the different sized stems...on to the iClear 30..

The draw on this is about the same as a Viva Nova, IMO...I'm really liking the swivel drip tip..not that I thought I ever needed that, but just something different on my tank, ya know? I know all about ohms and to pair it to what voltage..but this dual coil has me a bit confused. On the vendors website it said these were 2.0 ohms dual coil...well, no matter what voltage I set it to, it just seems pretty harsh. I started off on my Vision Spinner...tried all the different settings, 3.3-4.8...then switched to the kGo, that goes up to 6 Volts..don't get me wrong..this is giving as good as the Protank as far as flavor...actually, maybe a bit more...but every hit, from 3.3 volts all the way to 5.5 volts, it just seems harsh on the throat...so my question is...at 2.0 ohms dual coil...what is the right voltage for this?

Both tanks, on every draw, is giving me those snap, crackle, Pop that I know means I'm fixing to get a great hit. I have to be honest here though..once I can figure out what Voltage I should go with on the iClear...I think this will be my "go to tank" I really like it! The makers put a lot of ecig users wants into this tank...from the notches on the plastic top thingy at the wicks, to the little kernels where you unscrew it..just those little things that matter, ya know?

The only thing to be wary of on the iclear is once it gets down around 1/3 of a tank 1-1.5 mls usually, you will need to "swirl" the tank around to get the juice up in the head, similar to how you would do it to a Nova. Other then that i like my iClear's, hell i have 5 of em! Don't forget your can dry burn them as well to clean the heads. I usually do that once every 2-3 tanks worth of juice depending on what has been in them.

Evod coils work in a Protank but Protank coils won't work in an evod
Protanks seem to like from 3/4 full to about 1/4 full
more than 3/4 gives weak hits and under 1/4 gurgles and leaks.
I run 1.8 ohm Evod coils in my Protanks at 3.7 volts

iClear30 doesn't like to be filled up to the lower coil. Just under works for me with zero gurgling.
I got hot, unpleasant hits with the iClear at 4.6-4.8 volts
I enjoy it at 4.3 to 4.4 volts and that's also convenient to switch to my mini Novas at 4.3-4.4

All my juices are 70/30 to 80/20 and 18mg

Swap your stems and you are all set. That's all you have to do when you use evod coils in your protank ;)

I'll be honest, I've never swapped the stems; no problems at all. I'd like to think the narrower stem is helping tighten the draw that much more than the coil head alone.

May have to try it next time, see if it makes any difference for me; anyone noticed a difference between swapping the stems and not?
