Slim 510's should use things attys/cartos 2.5 ohms or higher and not use the fast charger of Ego or Riva 510 (either can damage a slim battery)
The fat battery models like Ego and Riva 510 are over 450mah (actually 650mah+) and can definitely use LR down to 2.0 ohms. Some people will go lower to 1.7ohms for some atomizers. Some people will go all the way to 1.5 ohms, others will not go that low except on a mod, where the industrial-type batteries come out to be charged in a separate charger and any damage can be seen.
If you have any interest in a clone, the Riva 510's at Liberty-Flights.com are slightly higher voltage than Ego. Liberty sells a ton of them so they have the latest model. Under $30 for the Lite Bundle of 2 750mah Rivas if you first press the 20% off (upper left front page). Riva 510 is the most popular Ego clone.
If you have a need for batteries that can be disabled (to put in your pocket) then consider the Ego-T (many people have issues with the tanks but you can get normal atomizers and cartomizers for it). I believe the real Joye Ego-T batteries can be disabled with 5 clicks.
Gotvapes is waiting on a 5-click 3-stage "variable" Egos and batteries (probably clones - and they are new, so no info on reliability). They do 3.2, 3.7 and 4.2 volts
And there are inexpensive 510-threaded box mods (some made by forum members like Silent Soldier and others, some at boxmods.net, and Madvapes sells kits to make your own) - these usually have an on/off switch. The startup cost includes buying batteries and a charger, but after that batteries are about $5-7 apiece.
