I currently have a "Bolt" battery mod From mad vapes. (not vv, but frikkin awesome)

It is a 3.7v 1600mAh 18500 PV

I was using a Single Coil Vision Stone CE2 from Got Vapes and it worked great, although I dont think it's for me b/c of the top coil design. (2.1Ω)

I just recieved a Dual Coil 510 Cartomizer tank from Altsmoke. (1.5Ω)

The little card I got from MadVapes (yet again, awesome) has a pocket refrence on it and for a DC a range of 1.5-1.7Ω

The DCT will not fire. I put the 'ol multimeter on it and it tells me 2Ω instead of 1.5Ω as advertised. is this normal, or have I recieved the wrong cart in the mail?

Looks like I will be upgrading to a VV Provari soon (Taxes are in...woot)

Most cartos do measure in the +- area, then add liquid and the resistance changes +- just a bit more, the resistance is intended target...not absolute.
The center contact on your battery may be pushed down a bit too far. Turn off the device or remove the internal battery if possible, Gently take a paperclip bent to form a slight j shape or a tooth pick or a dental tool and ever so gently pull up on the center contact toward the end of the threads, wiggle from one side to the other. You only want to move it out about half a millimeter so be Gentle,Go Slow. I have found this to happen when using ce2 because they seem to protrude farther than a standard carto. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

^^^ Off Topic is probably correct, try using a paper clip (straitened out) into the center hole in the bottom of your carto-just a little ways- and prying the center post out. This may allow the carto to make contact and fire properly. The ohm rating should not keep the carto from firing.

lol, usedtoanalog beat me to it and did a helluva a lot better job to boot....

Iusedtoanalog.....

I did a few experiments. Iusedtobeaphoneguy, so I did some troubleshooting. I took the battery out and used some 22ga solidcore jumperwire to rig the battery directly. I tested iton the CE2 and it fired up. I tested it on the DCT and it ALSO fired up. I used a small slot screwdriver (The kind for PC boards) to gently move the center pin in the battery case around. no luck.

I went to the DCT and twisted the center pin about a 1/4 turn then back. works like a charm.... Thanx for the advice, sir.

Just to address the ohm reading:

Many multimeters have a small amount of resistance in the probe wires. If you have a Digital Multimeter, set the range to 20 and touch the the two probes together. Let it settle in for about 5 seconds. If it reads more than 0, that is the resistance in the probes and you need to subtract that number from the reading on the carto.

Most analog multimeters have a calibration screw. Hold the probes together and adjust the needle to zero.
