Thinking about upgrading...

Hey :)

Since my vaping journey began I've strictly used my ego ce4's, I'm in love with the different colours and how easy they are to refill and charge. I currently have 4 ego ce4's and like 20 clearomizers with different flavours and VG/PG blends in all. Great to mix and match when you fancy a different flavour or constistancy of the cloud.

So I'm thinking I should explore other things now I'm pretty confident and I know how to clean, maintain and work my ego ce4's, they're my new bestest pals.

So my question is is there anything similar? Maybe in a similar price range too, give or take 10/15 bucks as I will treat myself to something if anyone thinks they know what I might enjoy :D

Also, will my clearomizers work with any other models? I have a pack of 10 unopened so it would be good knowing I could mix and match across devices :)

Thanks guys xx

Heh. Since no one else on here has responded, don't want to leave you hanging in the lurch.

Myself, I have some CE4's floating around and using them for trying new juice or really dark, murky juices that I know are going to gunk up my regular tanks.

That said, might want to try the Kanger mini-Protank II (or 3, but I prefer the II) or the mini-Aerotank. They are small like the CE4's, you can get colors and just replace the heads on them. You can get the heads at 5 for $5.95 if you don't want to rebuild the pt2 tanks.

I like them because they're glass and I vape a lot of tankbusters. ;)

If you're thinking about a new battery, I'd recommend either the Innokin iTaste VV3.0 or its big brother the MVP2. I LOVE the difference in taste between the Innokin and my Spinner, but most people probably wouldn't notice. I've been around professional chefs for over 20 years.

The little guy, the VV, is pretty cheap, does passthrough (you can plug it in and use it, as well as use a normal microUSB charger) and is square!!! Ok, I like things that don't roll all over the place. I don't have to hunt down my rig when I want a vape. My spinner keeps escaping.

There is a general & natural progression up the vaping ladder on the journey for vaping bliss & perfection. You can take it to whatever level you desire. One thing is certain. We will always require coils and wicks of some sort. The wicks and coils are expendable and will have to be replaced.

Clearomizers use tiny silica strings to wick the juice to the coils. Silica is only a fair carrier of flavor. The clearomizer design is a simple basic one meant to be easy for beginners to fill and replace coils. However, they often mute many flavors and can be inconsistant with dry/burnt hits to flooding/gurgling/leaking.

Cartotanks are a step up in the chain. Better flavor and more consistancy, but have a slightly higher learning curve and take a few minutes longer to set up a new tank.

For more vapor and better flavor still, rebuildable atomizers are at the top of the chain. Here you build your own coils and wick from scratch. You'll need bigger batteries (high drain), either a mechanical or regulated mod to house the batteries, and either a rebuildable drip atomizer or a rebuildable tank atomizer. Some research into Ohm's Law basics, reading an ohm meter, and watching countless YouTube videos on the best builds for your particular atomizer.

Is it a carto, a tank, or what?

Hi,

I started out with a ego twist 2 ce4's & a protank mini 2. I have made myself a vaping purchasing ladder. So I don't get overwelmed with all the information on this site & vaping in particular.

My ladder is:

1 month - mvp2 shine in pink of course:D
6 month - mini provari
1 year - maybe a Reo (I think I have been hanging out in the Nicoticket thread to long)

In between my ladder steps I just read & research on my next purchase, because anything can change it seems like at the drop of a hat!

Good luck to you and :vapor: on!!

I think there is a lot of good products out there. I love my Areotank. I went up the ladder and have an MVP 2, a Vamo, an Evic and now a Provari. I like all of them and they all are great. It really depends on what you are looking for. I bought my Evic and Provari there. You can get some really good deals. I had 2 Ego's but gave them to a friend who wanted to start vaping. I would start at the B&M and see what's available. Keep researching and you'll find the right fit.
