So I have a feeling i'm gonna be getting a MVP 3.0 box mod as a gift for my birthday coming up in May. So I have been doing some research into coil building. As i have never buildt one and don't even own a rda yet. My question is what rda is best for beginners that supports dual coil builds? I plan on working my way up and don't want to have to find another rda when I'm ready.

I hope your birthday wish comes true. You have a month to do research so that you can make an informed purchase. Rather than making a specific RDA recommendation I suggest that you head over to this sub-forum RDA and do some more reading. Generally speaking, the model specific threads that have seen the most recent activity concern RDAs that are getting the most attention.

There are coil jigs available now like the kuro koiler that make shaky hands almost a non issue! I have large, clumsy hands and use a jig to make perfect coils every time.

If you decide to take the RDA plunge, I'd recommend one that supports both single and dual coils. Start with single, and move on to dual once you're comfortable with the process. The Magma and Plume Veil are solid choices.

+1 on the plume veil and the reading up on the rebuilding posts. A plume veil is real easy to build even for a new builder like me. Do lots of research. You will need a small toolbox of tools and equipment to do it safe. It is daunting when you read about it, but easy to do once you've got it down. Ohms law, battery safety and proper technique are important, even using a regulated device. Knowing the ins and outs of using a mech mod will benefit you even in the regulated world. You will understand how each build will react and why. Don't assume because you have a regulated mod (as all of mine are) that it's all safe and you don't need to know that stuff.

Now go have some fun with it, you're going to have a great time and this seems to be a natural progression for some of us.

With my shaky hands, I could see my attempts looking like a bird's nest and going into the trash after a few tries. I'll stick with Nautilus tanks for now.

The Subtank Mini is a great compromise as you can buy ready-made coil heads or use the rebuildable deck to learn how to make coils.
Plus it's a pretty amazing atomiser!
