One thing about the flat top AW batteries, if you notice some of them have a recessed positive contact. You may have to use a magnetic spacer for the switch to make good contact. If I were to make the contact pin longer it would risk denting batteries, just FYI :)

Thanks, I was wondering about that. I'll make sure and get a couple.

Versatility is the name of the game here. Those batteries will last you 24 hour plus even with LR atties or cartos. I started out using Altsmokes LR 510 cartomizers with the 18650 battery.Goof stuff. I picked up an adapter to try the kr808d cartomizers on my Omega and I have to say I really like the flavor these produce.

I still have much playing around to do. I have some cr123a LifePo 3v batteries on the way. I plan on getting a few 306 atties both LR and normal to try out as everyone seems to love dripping on these.

Unlimited options is a grand thing. You're gonna love that Omega.

No, I haven't tried any AW batteries yet. I simply bought the 18650's Altsmoke has to start out with and they have been working just fine. The AW stuff is supposed to be really good so no worries there. If you have to use a spacer with the flat tops that will be just fine too. finding a small disk magnet like you need should be a simple thing to find locally.

I have also seen in some threads where people used coins the the bottom of their mods to take up a bit of space. Just out of curiosity I found that a dime is the perfect size to put under the hot spring if you need a spacer for the AW flat tops in the Omega.

Just a thought. = )

I use the AW flat top 18650s. Never had a problem with either my SB or Omega.
Only thing with them is that they're a really tight fit in the charger. Inserting them you can just sort of snap them in. But when you remove them from the charger, IF your pull up on the positive end first, the plastic wrap that goes over the top edge can catch on the charger and nick/rip it. I had to patch one of mine with that liquid insulator. Now I always remove the negative end first... I'm not sure if that positive cap goes all the way to the edge but it was exposed just a tiny bit and I was worried about it contacting the barrel of the PV. Just something to keep in mind if you get those.

That's great to know. I have a Shekor charger with spring loaded movable negative contacts that I have been using to charge rcr123a, and 17670 batteries. Hopefully it will work ok with these.
