Live in MA, if that matters on availability. Former smoker, I used e-cigs for a few months a year ago then moved to snus. I moved to snus because I like it and it is desreet but now I am thinking of alternating between snus and vaping. I am sure that a lot has changed with vaping/e-cigs in the last 12-14 months, have a few questions-
1. What is the legal status of e-cigs?
2. How available is the juice and e-cigs/parts?
3. What is the best brand of e-cig and juice?
4. Where is the best place to buy juice and e-cigs?

Thanks!

Welcome back rkh3, As for PV's the 510 Ego came out along with variations on the cartomizer and feed systems for mods and the Ego. As for the best place to start shopping for general vaping needs. Still Cignot.com
The FDA is still being unreasonable and bans are still trying to be put in place. The latest is http://www.vapebans.com/ It's time to poop or get off the pot. Oh BTW I too use Snus when I feel nicotine deprived. Wonderful stuff.

Welcome back! :)

1. We're still in limbo on that one. The FDA is still trying to ban them as drug delivery devices, two different courts have told them to classify them as tobacco products, they aren't listening.

2. The approved supplier list here has probably doubled at the very least in the last 10 months. Still not a whole lot of brick and mortar suppliers, but a few.

3. Currently, the most popular mass produced equipment is probably the eGo and Riva. They're the same design, different companies, both are good. Most suppliers carry one or the other if not both. E-juices are in the palette of the taster, but there are several places that are extremely popular right now. Backwoods Brew, FreedomSmoke USA, Tasty Vapor, are some I can remember off the top of my head, but I'm sure others will be around with more suggestions. I DIY so I don't order from most of them.

4. Again, check the suppliers' list. All are approved by ECF and have good reputations. For Riva kits, Liberty Flights has really good prices with a 20% discount and low shipping. Check out samples from a number of the different juice suppliers to see which ones suit you best.

Snus was banned, as well as any tobacco product that didn't have brick & mortar shops, in MA for a while & I didn't have any problems getting snus from Sweden. Are you finding availability a problem? How about in states that banned e-cigs? Not sure if MA is one, do you know?
Lastley, I still have parts for the Vapor 4 Life units but was very disappointed with them when I moved onto snus. The quality really seemed to go down, maybe the company was sold? Are these units any good now?

Can't answer your snus questions but...

No states have as of yet banned e-cigs outright, although New York is currently trying, thus the current calls to action. Several states have included vaping with their typical public smoking bans, but they are still legal to use besides that.

As for V4L, they've had some growing pains for sure. The company is still owned by Steve and he still makes the odd appearance on their ECF sub-forum. I'm not sure as to current quality issues though, you might want to check out the sub-forum and see what folks are saying.

I wouldn't go with the tanks if I were you. Get one of the new devices that uses a 3 ml cartomizer bottom horizontal coil, no burning, leaking or dry hits with a 1100 or 1300 mah battery. The newest is the Echo. I just received mine today and it is amazing, it has an 1300 mah auto battery that works like an auto should, and a 3ml carto that can be refilled up to 100 times. The Go-Go has a 1300 mah manual batt with a 3 ml carto that hits very consistent hit after hit and there has yet to be a coil popped in any of them that I'm aware of in three months of use. They can be cleaned and refilled for as long as who knows because none have failed yet. The iGo I haven't used but it has the same 3 ml carto design and is also getting good reviews. I've tried three different tank devices and none of them continued to work good all the time. They would work for a while but take a lot of fiddling to keep them working. These bottom coil cartos are going to make all other cartos obsolete. Oh, and the prices for the kits range from 50.00 for the Echo, 60.00 for the Go-go and 70.00 for the iGo when you can find them in stock.:2cool:
