The IBT looks cool. Phiniac tank looks awesome, wonder if they would do a custom logo?

Which cartos should I get? Is there a better manufacturer?

What resistance should I get?
I have a vamo v3, v5, an SVD and my wife is getting me a provari for Christmas. So VV/VW is not a problem.

Do I need a carto punch?

Thanks for your replies.

Of course you need a puncher .You must try with cheap tanks and a good carto .
I was a user for 6 months .I used tank no need to say which one ,today there are plenty with pyrex glass ( mine had too) , and boge carto of Low resistance.
I left my tank and carto because i found much more satisfaction with other not so expensive rebuiltables .
So my advice is to start with something cheap and then if you are sure about it buy better tanks .There are plenty of them and carto too.

I actually disagree with going with a cheaper tank to start out with. These can have poor designs and poor quality o-rings which can cause the tank to be slippy-slidey on the carto and even leak juice. Too often I have seen people be frustrated and disappointed with their first cartotank because they chose to start out with a cheap tank.

An IBTanked cartotank can be purchased for under $22 (pyrex tube $4 and metal caps $17.50). These are very high quality tanks for the price. They hug the carto snugly and don't leak. You can use any 510 drip tip on the tank for a mouthpiece, from a $2.50 tip on up. There's a good reason why these tank are so highly recommended.

Your choices in cartomizers will be between Smoktech, Boge, and Ikenvape brands. Use the graphic below to note the different brands to use and the names the manufacturers use to describe their cartos. Everyone prefers one brand over the other.

I always recommend novices to cartotanks to use pre-punched laser-drilled cartos initially. You can learn to use un-punched cartos later on with a carto punch tool if you wish to do that. I also highly recommend purchasing a carto tank filling tool like the Slap Yo Moma tool in the second link below. IBTanked also sells a tank tool that will work nearly as well.

Make sure you order the correct length cartomizer for the length of tank you order.

Ive got the Artemis aka UDCT and DCT Pyrex. IMO the DCT Pyrex is ok for a $10 tank and i do like the metal cover BUT........

When the DCT Pyrex tank develops a leak, its basically disposable. The end caps and cover are not easily removed. This also makes cleaning a tiny bit more of a job. There is no telling how many hot water baths the glue holding it together will endure.

The UDCT tank is plastic and while the locking ring seems nice, it does not fit on all mods. It will not fit my MVP v2 with the beauty ring and locking ring installed. Ive tried both the PT ring and the one supplied with the MVP v2. I use mine without the locking ring. I also find it slightly annoying to remove the ring for refilling. Besides that it seems to work and i paid under $9 for it.

A good tank like the IBtanked can be rebuilt over and over. It can be totally taken apart. They sell every part and prices seem reasonable. After looking at what other places charge for a glass and SS end cap tank, the IBtanked looks like a bargain. Plus its Made in USA which is a big plus in my book.

Im ordering one today. I made it 90 days!!!!!!

19mm XL
SS end caps
Another cheap tank filler/drip tip combo tool.

IIRC they were about $1.85each if you buy ten 10. They were still a tiny bit less than the F16 in a 5 packs IIRC $1.90each. Sadly both punched and unpunched Mega Fusions LRs are sold out. They sell out fast so get on the "notify list".

Im only on my first one but this is the first two hole that has not leaked into my battery connection. I use 70PG/30VG and both SMOK 2 holes i tried leaked. 40PG/60VG seemed fine with 2 hole SMOKs. The single hole dual coil worked ok but they are usually expensive compared to Boge or IKVs.

IMO both the Boges and the IKVs come out of the same factory but ive never tried a F16 to compare the vape. Boxes are VERY similar and they both offer "Fushions" so there are some similarities. If you like the F16 carto, you will very likely enjoy the IKVs. The difference in price is minor as far as i can tell.
