Oh also I didn't get the beauty ring or an adapter, will my protanks 1 and 2 fit on it without right out of the box and im thinking of getting the kayfun, will that fit on it too? Hope I don't have to order anything else for it, my fiancé already .... bricks shelling out the money for this lol

No adapter required. The beauty ring sits on top of the provari to fill in the taper on top. Beauty ring isn't required but to some they don't like the taper on top especially with a device such as a kayfun.

I initially got into vaping with a twist like kit.

I hemmed and hawed about getting a Provari because of cost. I researched and found that the Provari is probably the best built/most reliable VV mod out there so I bit the bullet and hit the submit button on an order for a Provari. I think I had it for about 1 week before placing an order for my second one. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bypassed the twist like kit and went straight to the Provari. It has performed flawlessly, is very well built (American made baby! :)), feels perfect in my hand (I have big hands) and just down right works. To me, its worth every penny. You will love it.

Would you rather have the provari over say a DNA 30? Think if I could afford it, I'd get the DNA 30. Like a Hannah Mod . Guess I'm just different. :)

Just sold a hana. Still have the provaris. That must say something right? In my honest opinion you only really need a DNA 30 device if you are dripping. Then if you are dripping I prefer a mechanical any day. Don't need or want a box with a clicky button when I can use a mechanical that not only looks nicer but is more pocket friendly and will handle higher amps.

I have had my Provari for almost 3 years now, as my only device. I have dropped it on occasion and it still looks and works like brand new. It is just the right "sweet spot" for the way that I vape. Well, plus it is pink. :) Really, I love mine and so glad that I ummm, let hubby talk me into spending the money. photo.jpg

Ok I have a question since mine will be here in a couple days......How to set it up with a protank so it hits great.....I will be getting a kayfun but not right away so I have a protank 1 and two protank 2's. I have 28g, 30g and 32g kanthal and cotton. I want to use it so I get great throat hits (im not worried about clouds and ....) And I want the 18650 to last as long as it can. So I need to know what type of coil at what ohms to build and what voltage to run it at.....I have two 18650 batteries coming and I will probably want to buy more so I can just keep them rotating. Id rather not have to fall back on the mvp to wait to use my provari again lol

"Hits great?" How did you have it set-up with your MVP? The ProVari is the power supply, everything else depends on what you have on top. The point of a ProVari (besides durability, warranty, blah, blah, blah), is consistency and smoothness in your vape.

You can build just about any resistance you like, if it's not too low. I'm currently vaping a 1.2Ω coil at 3.5v* in a KFL+, but the ProVari really shines at a higher resistance, which also will give you more battery life.

When vaping low-res, I take the mAh rating of the battery and halve it. If it's rated at 1200mAh, I plan for it to last roughly 6 hours. It may last longer, but at least I'm prepared.

*But that's just me with this particular set-up and juice. One vapes by taste, not numbers. You find a starting point, then increase or decrease the power until it tastes good to you.

One way to get a starting point is to add "2" to the ohms and set the voltage at that. With a resistance under 4Ω, that calculation will always give you roughly 8 watts.

2.5Ω atty + 2 = 4.5
Set the voltage at 4.5v and you will get 8.1 watts

As I said though, that is just a starting point, then you adjust for taste. After awhile you will know what you like particular juices set at and you won't even think about it.
