I haven't been on the the forum in quite some time, but recently came back to help a friend enter the wonderful world of vaping. I couldn't help, but notice that VV flavors are all over the liquid discussion threads so I just HAVE to try some.
I have found some pretty good tobacco flavors that I like, but I have this problem with them. First thing in the morning they seem to hit pretty harshly on the back of my throat and then after I eat I have this issue with any tobacco type liquid that I vape they seem to have a peppery flavor, almost like the nicotine gum that I tried before I started vaping....its kind of a gross taste. Normally I just sort of endure it because I know after a little while it will go away. I also realize its likely coming from the nicotine in the juice. I'm really searching for 2 things, 1) a flavor I could have with my morning coffee that isn't going to "clash" with my coffee. 2) Something smooth that I can vape after I eat that isn't going to cause this spicy, peppery taste to occur. So far, I am thinking about trying out the following:
Sampler Pack with Bella Amaretto, Kona Coffee Milkshake (have read A LOT about this one so have to try it), and Maple French Toast
Peach Vanilla Swirl
Hot Buttered Rum
I am confused about what strength of flavor I should try the last 2 in though. I'd also order 2 sampler packs except it doesn't seem like the Peach Vanilla Swirl is an option for the sampler packs. Doesn't much matter though because I will be able to order them in my regular nicotine level and will be able to determine if they have that spicy taste. It could just be a permanent vaping issue due to my tastebuds. I was thinking of trying the pure VG on those last 2 also as I have read that these aren't thick like other pure VG liquids are. So my question is, if I order them with 100% VG is there still a throat hit or is it pretty much non-existent due to it being pure VG? Also, are the peach and buttered rum flavors on the strong side regularly? At first glance I am inclined to think maybe an extra shot of flavor wouldn't hurt anything, but some buttered rums are a bit strong and don't need help so I'm unsure. When I mix my own flavors I usually add 20% flavor on most, if that helps any. I also used to vape pure VG when I first started, but after losing a few atty's due to build up, I switched to the 80/20, that seems to be the current norm in liquid, to save myself the expense of constantly ordering new attys. I'm hoping that maybe someone here might help steer me in the right direction.
