After starting with my 650mah Ego Ce4 kit just off amazon to try out e-cigs to help me quit smoking and be healthy

I have finally decided to embark on a long and commited journey to vaping!

I have been hearing ALOT about mods and twists and voltage changes and such, also with glass tanks and steel tanks.

And with E juice about DIY Or Sites Or PG/VG, Just all sorts of questions

And fairly saying, I have not much idea at all!

The community here so far has been great and helpful with detailed information and guidance

Any Suggestions?

I have just been starting, however i can already tell i won't last long with my cheaply made ego clone

I practically smoke all the time when i don't have things at hand, So having to charge it every or so hours is frustrating me.

Im not essentially a great technical user, So anything that is easy to use, less time to charge would be great for now.

If you want to stepping up the game, vv/vw mod might be a great choice, lots of folks like to recommend AVP like itaste mvp2 or a vamo, itaste svd, I says they all great, and if you don't mind the size much then skip the ego vv type and go for AVP. They give you the ohm reader, vv/vw function and much longer battery life than a tiny ego.

You can try variable voltage with a simple eGo-C Twist, which is just like your current eGo except that it has a dial on the bottom with which you can adjust the voltage from 3.2-4.8 volts. Higher voltage means a warmer vape, but going to high will cause a burnt taste. It's a nice easy way to tweak your vape to suit your personal preference. The Twist even uses the same charger as your current eGo. Joyetech Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 1000mAh Battery

If you want to go slightly more advanced and get a variable voltage/wattage device, a good place to start would be the Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0. It has all the bells and whistles you could want, but it is relatively inexpensive. Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

As for tanks, you could go with a Protank, which is a nice piece of vaping gear. Easy to use and maintain - Kanger Protank II - 101 Vape

You could also go with a carto tank, which uses cartomizers coupled with an outer tank. This arguably provides the best vape possible. Pretty easy to use and top notch flavor - SMOKTech Pyrex DCTank Glass DCTank with these - Single Coil 510 DCTank Cartomizer - 5 Pack or these - SMOKTech 510 Dual Coil Tank Cartomizer - 5 Pack

DIY juices are great for the alchemist in you, and are a great way to cut costs. Why pay $0.50-$1 per ml of juice when you can make your own for pennies on the dollar.
All you need is a few basic ingredients and mixing tools:
Nicotine
PG
VG
flavors
empty bottles
syringes

I suggest perusing the DIY forums for more info, opinions, and advice - DIY E-Liquid

Recipes can be found here - E-Liquid Recipes

Welcome to a whole new world!! :2cool:

Research. Research. Then do more research. Learn as much as you can before you buy. Ask questions here. Look up topics on You Tube - there's a wealth of information there. Reviewers such as PBusardo and Grimm Green do reviews and demos of vape gear.

I've written a dozen blogs on various topics that you should read: Baditude's Blogs

Thank you for all the suggestions, Is having a warmer vape the only advantage of a higher voltage?

I have seen alot of users with "Drip tip", Are those just disposable tips attaching to the atomizer?

And is glass tank such as protank easier to break than the other tanks?

Changing the voltage also changes the flavor, not just the "warmth." Different voltages have different effects, and each juice responds differently to the changes. It's just a way to fine tune a juice to taste the way you want. Different voltages will bring out different subtleties in a juice.

Drip tips are not disposable, but they are removable. They are just mouthpieces. People use them with cartomizers, atomizers, and carto tanks. Here is an example - Drip Tips E Cigarette

The Protank is made from Pyrex so it is pretty tough and can take a beating. The polycarbonate plastic tanks are more likely to crack/break if dropped than a Pyrex tank.

Whats the advantages of drip tips? What are the pros that makes people drawn to them more?

Seems like alot of people recommend protanks however i had a mini protank clone and immediately it taste nasty of burning

If so that i decide on VV devices, Any intermediate, inexpensive in its area kind of recommendation, The Itaste seems like a good selection

Drip tips were originally intended for people who dripped into atomizers, thus the name. It allows you to draw on the atomizer or cartomizer without putting your lips on it, as the atty/carto can get hot after continuous use. People also use them because they feel more comfortable on their lips or in their mouth. They also look really nice.

You had a CLONE, which is not the same as having a Protank made by Kanger. The clone you tried probably had some faults. That's not to say that the Protank made by Kanger is perfect, but they work very well for just about everyone right out of the box. You may have also been using a head that was low resistance, and due to manufacturing inconsistencies, the resistance was even lower than specified, which would lead to a burnt taste. It is also possible that the head was not properly primed before you took the first puff, or the coil was not wicking properly. These problems can be solved by taking dry hits (no power) and then not inhaling the first few puffs to burn off any primer fluid that might be on the wick.

The iTaste IS a great selection for getting into VV.

If you're committed and feel you want to dive in, Search, study, compare, watch an read reviews, compare, then find what makes sense to you, and what you like. Go with a quality build and something that will last. My recommendations are, something with a replaceable battery, and expandable to up to a 18650 battery. If you are inclined to go regulated devices, then make sure it will put out 6 volts and 15 watts, this way you can grow into it and be able to use most any style of atomizer out there. whether you want to get into rebuldables or not. Then find an atomizer that will put out good vape, something like an Aspire Vivi Nova BDC or an iclear 30 or 30s. Then look at possible rba's that might interest you. There are many shapes, forms and styles. Go with what you like and see what is within you grasps. The other option is a mech mod. If you go that route, recommend one the is kick able, and can kick it with an 18650. This way you have the protection of a regulated device but the options that a mechanical can give you once you have gained knowledge and are ready. Recommend the evolve kick 2 if you go this route. It is good with builds from .5-3 ohms, has better power control and better grounding that virtually eliminates misfires that were prevalent in the original kick and the clones.

Once you have defined you gear and the juice mixes that you prefer, then look into DIY juices. Look into the DIY section of the forum, everything you need to know is there.

Most would recommend going regulated before mechanical mods, and I basically agree. There is just so much to learn and to know that jumping on a mechanical off an ego, could lead to danger Will Robison. lol . But if you go mech with a kick, you basically have a regulated mechanical, but still need to study up on proper battery considerations and safe handling procedures.

Knowledge is power, a little knowledge can get one in trouble. I went from an ego to a Provari, then started rba's, and high watt vaping, the DIY juices and most recently Mechanical mods with and without the kick 2. I use mainly my mech kicked now, but do test the waters of very high watts occasionally. Love the mech kicked at max 15 watts. Still use the Provari, for my .9 and up builds, but she won't go no lowere than .9, and complains when I go down that low on her.

My main focus right now is rba's. The more the merrier. Started with the Russian, Terminator-C, just recently the Aqua, and have the Fogger V3 on it's way here. Have my eye on 2 or 3 more contenders. but got to lay low for a bit. lol

Vaping is a progressive learning experience, I've only been at it for 6 months but have been on a fairly fast track. Some advance quicker, some not. Find your own pace, and what looks best for you. That what vape is all about. If done properly, you'll know when you are ready for the next level, and if you even want to go there. Don't be in to much of a hurry to get there, because you might miss something important and fun along they way, and I could be something that prevents possible harm by skipping it. Everyone has a favorite something, but they have it by finding it.

Vape long and Prosper.

Pandachan I was like you 2 months ago and most of the talk probably still sounds like Japanese to you. In my opinion you started out with the least one can start out with as far as taste, vapor and charge time. If I were you I would just move into VV slowly (and cheaply) with an Ego C Twist (1000-1100 Mah) ($20-30) You will have all day use and can charge while sleeping. You can kick it up to 3.8-4.0 no matter what you have on top thus giving you better hits and more flavor. With your ego650 you are probably vaping at 3.3-3.5. While you are experiencing this new level read and read and read (this forum) to then get knowledgeable on Watts VS Voltage, cartomizers Vs Clearomizers, Pyrex VS Plastic, etc etc
With one Ego C Twist you will knock yourself up in more ways than one. Everything from there is a personal choice depending on your needs.
I use what I have recommended to you Ego C Twist) I am going to buy something bigger (better) once I know for sure what matters to me. Here is what my (2 months asking questions on here and at the vape stores) research has taught me:
I like the hit on the Itaste VV but I do not like that it is only an 800mah, yes you can use it as a pass through but who sits at their desk all day?
I like the look of Vamo but hear it is delicate and the threads give out.
I am leaning towards the SVD by Innokin
Remember once you move into this world you have to buy batteries and battery charger and at that time you will want to buy the best. Again per my research, AW batteries and Nitecore charger.
You do not need any of that to go to Ego C twist

Passthough-can plug it in and vape
Mah-length of time your device stays charged (650 the lowest)
Ohms-the resistance (wick or coil in your tank)
VV-variable voltage
MOD-something that has been modified
