OK I apologize in advance if this is here somewhere. I have searched and came up with nodda :D
What ratio do you use for sweeter?

What ratio of distilled water/PGA do you use to thin VG to the consistancy of PG?

Depends on your Sweetener and what you are after.

I like Sucralose. It is Very Sweet and you don't need much. Maybe 5~7%

I don't Thin VG with Water anymore. I founf Thinning with Pure PG makes my DIY's taste better. You can usually buy Small Bottles of Pure PG wherever you get your DIY Flavorings.

I like liquids higher in VG and make a 20/80 PG/VG nic base that I use for my DIY. After adding flavors it is usually around 60% or 65% VG and works fine in all my equipment. You can thin it with distilled water (up to 10%) or (PGA) pure grain alcohol (up to 5%) but I never liked anything I made when I did.

I agree that too much sweetener will ruin a great mix, I use no more than 5% (1 drop per ml) and sometimes less.

I make juice for myself at 80pg/20vg... but I have a friend that I make it for who likes 100% VG so cutting with PG is not what I am looking for.... guess I should have put that in there the 1st time.... silly me!

I really appreciate the responses though.

The sweetner I use is from OneStopDiy..... It is just labled sweetner so I am not sure what kind it is....

Thining VG with PG even for 100% VG Mixes will Probably be unoticable. But do what works best for you and your friend. Remember that Most DIY Flavors are PG Based so you never Really have 100% VG if it is Flavored.

Look Like OneStopDIYShop only sells one type of Sweetener. Or Only one that I can find.

Many people like EM. I don't think it is Sweet enough but that's just me.

Thanx zoiDman.... true about the 100% VG.... most flavors I have are pg....

I use the sweetener listed here and yeah it does not have any kind of description.... I can maybe email them and find out.... I was using about 5%.... and I was curious what others have found as their "sweet spot" ;)

No Problem.

I struggled with DIY until I found Sucralose. Nothing I made tasted sweet no matter how much EM I used. Once I tried Sucralose, everything seemed to fall into place and I got some Very good mixes going.

I'm sure you have heard this before but the Key to DIY is to Make and Keep Detailed and Accurate Records.

I have made too many Masterpieces that I added a Dash of This an 3 Drops of That only to never be able to make it again.

Best of Luck and let us know how things turn out.

BTW - You do know that you can Buy TPA Flavors Directly from TPA?

Perfumer's Apprentice

Many Flavors also have a Link to user Recipes that are sometimes Helpfull.

OSDIYS sells lots of differant sweeteners - the one labeled sweetener is sucralose in pg - coton candy is EM in PG - then there is sweet tart, marshmallow, brown sugar, brown sugar extra, honey, sweet cream, ect. All of these can be used as a sweetener and have advantages and disadvatages depending on what flavors you are working with.

I have been doing DIY for several month and mostley make for others because I am still stuggling with the whole vaping thing... but the flavors I have made for myself are good as is and I have not used any sweetner.... So far my non tobacco flav favorites are Sweet Tarts and Keylime.... however I am thinking I need to order some pre-made bacco flavs to see if those will work better for me to transition....

@zoiDman, Yes I did know that Perfumer Apprentice has their own site, however I did not find it right away and me being me I ordered just about every flavor OneStopDiy had in stock... lol... so I am set for a good long while.... which is why I make so much for others lol..... Iyiyiyiyiyi

Not sure what you prefer in a tobacco but One Stop DIY has a Virginia Fire Cured from Flavor West that is great at about 13%. This is one Tobacco flavor that is great by its self. I've tried a bunch of tobaccos flavors and pre-mades and have only found two that i can vape all day, this is one and the other is MyFreedomSmokes VG Camel.
