I read a post someone used splenda and disolved it in PG for their sweetner. Can you safely do this instead of buying EM. If so can you disolve it in distilled water instead of PG and use that as your sweetner. I am new to DIY and not having a very good go at it. I like Menthol and discovered I like it without any tobacco added. I use Menthol, Spearmint, Koolada. Without any sweetner its vapable but not what I would call good. When I add the Cotton Candy (EM) it has an after taste but it does help with the needed sweetness but it taste off, unlike the purchased juice ive bought. I was mixing the flavors at 2.5% in VG with just enough Distilled Water to thin out the juice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The only flavor I have found that I can vape all day is Mystic from Halo but really want a higher VG juice and want to be able to make my own. Please any advice would be appreciated.

Splenda is just the commercial name for sucralose. When you buy Sweetner from TPA/TFA, Mt. Baker, etc it is Sucralose. Most ppl use 1 or 2 drops per 5 ml to help sweeten their mixes of fruit and bakery flavors. The other half of ppl swear by using EM for their tobacco mixes. Hope this helps and good luck with your DIY journey

EM does many things and sweeten is one thing it can do. And even using EM as a sweetener adds other effects. EM shouldn't be thought of as a sweetener.

EM is a handy tool, but I don't think of it as a sweetener.

I use liquid sucralose as a sweetener and I dilute it because it takes so little to sweeten. I know it has no fillers, besides the ones I put in, nor does it have anti-clumping agents in it.

I second this. EM should be considered an additive, since it does so much more than sweeten. It mellows out prominent notes, and helps to boost subtler ones. In all actuality, it doesn't even sweeten that well. You have to add a percentage of EM to get sweetness, where as with a real sweetener, you only have to add drops.

You may want to email them and ask exactly what type of sweetener this is (EM, Sacarlous etc..)

I haven't used stevia myself but others have and I haven't herd anything negative about it. I'm not sure if it would sweeten better then sacarlos you'll just have to experiment with it.

My hat is off to all of you that have great success with DYI, me I give up. I have decided it's easier for me to just buy a bottle of Halo's Mystic. I add about 1/4 of VG to it to mute the flavor just a bit and it works, so why keep getting disappointed with my yucky mixes. I'm still saving over 250.00 a month by not buying cigarettes and I need this vaping thing to be easy, so I will leave the DYI to the rest of ya'll. Thanks again for the advice.
