mod, hope you feel better soon. Gallbladder pain is terrible. Mine was damaged during my pregnancy. I thought she was just getting stuck in my ribs until after I had her, I was still getting the pain. So when she was 8 mos old, I had to have it removed. No problem since.

I had mine out on emergency after 10 years of trouble. I have never regretted it! Actually, there is no choice. If it ruptures toxins enter the blood stream and it could become deadly. Your gall bladder produces an enzyme that breaks down fat in the intestine. When you eat things with fat in them, it stimulates the GB to produce the enzyme. That enzyme can become imbalanced and form hard stones. When one of those stones block the tube leading to the intestines it causes the pain of the attack. No relief until that stone decides to move. So, avoiding foods with fat is the only way to keep the attacks at bay. Once you have those attacks, you never forget them.

I've thought about it but I know others who had there's removed and still have attacks.

Thanks for the well wishes. The pain is almost gone now but my anxiety issues are out of whack now. Never a dull moment. lol

Hmmm... they may have a hard time digesting heavy fats but that pain is your gall bladder trying to squeeze the enzyme out through that tube that is blocked by the stone (s). Seriously, see a doc at least and get an ultrasound. You do not want it to rupture and there is no other cure.

Once the doc told me that it was fat that would cause the attack and my surgery was scheduled, I would not put anything containing fat in my mouth. Well, we got a new cappuccino machine at work. A friend talked me into trying a cup against my better judgement. I took 1 sip and was on the floor, vomiting :( I was taken to the ER by ambulance and had it out immediately. Never made it to my scheduled surgery date. Good grief, I do feel your pain :(

Mod,

Listen to us.....have that sucker out!!! Seriously, I suffered with not feeling well after meals for quite awhile before I had the tests done showing I had gall stones and needed to have it out. Luckily I never had a full blown attack, I hear they are very painful and can feel like a heart attack.

The surgery was easy as pie and left me with 3 tiny scars. My doc thought it'd be cool to present me with 2 polaroids when I woke up of a) the gall bladder whole, once removed and b) my gall bladder sliced open showing the 2 large stones inside.

Take care of yourself please and go see a doctor! (((hugs)))

A heart attack is exactly what you think is going on at first. I finally walked into my docs office with my hand under my rib cage in dire pain and he said do you know that is your gall bladder you are holding? It is not something to take lightly. A low/no fat diet will ease the symptoms but is not a cure by any means.

LOL pay no attention to that crazy woman behind the computer...she gets lost a lot. I am wanting something that uses rechargeable batteries and will accommodate a tank. I will take a look at the Buzz Pro. Thanks, Bov.

You can not go wrong with a BP! They are tanks. Built to last.

My gosh!! I think I'd be listening to these people Mod.

Sounds like you are getting some good advice for free!

TT

No worries, TT. He will have no choice but to listen. If he just had an attack that lasted 15 hours, he will end up in the ER if he does not get checked out by choice soon :(

Well honey, you just described the Buzz Pro completely!!! IMO it is the best PV money can buy, and from a company that stands behind their product and takes very good care of their customers. You simply cannot ask for more! ;)
