El dee Got flu shot in Oct , got flu in early Dec got over it than got it again last week no
stomach bug though

Yeah, it is true that the shot does not cover every strain but, it covers most. Lowers your odds of getting it enough to make it worth getting IMO

I'll just have to take my chances....

I understand. many people feel that way. I have a friend that is a cashier at the local grocery store that swears the government will use something like the flu shot to take out at least 1/2 of the population lol She may have a point there.

My daughter went to Boston,Mass for a CT scan today. She's had sinus blockage forever. No senseof small, little taste and constant headache. She had surgery not long ago and was told her sinuses cavities were cleaned out but she had little relief. Today she was told that the sinus cavities in her cheeks were almost clear but the ones between her eyes and in her forehead are totally blocked. He gave her a sinus rinse that's helping but she'll probably be going back to Boston for surgery......again. Doctor's suck!!!!!!

Oh NO! :( I so agree with you, Fran! Doctors do suck. We all need a medical degree just to be able to watch what they are doing and know if they are doing it right.

That is so true. Several years ago hubby's (now ex)doctor was treating him for everything he didn't have. Hubby couldn't keep anything down but popsicles, not even water. He ending up in an emergency room and it took the doctor there a very short time to tell him he had Chronic acute pancreatitis. He was 2 days from dead.

My oldest sister had her pancreas nicked while having her gall bladder removed by one of these yahoo docs up here. She had pancreatitis for a short while and it was excruciating.

When DH was very sick and on life support in ICU, he had a doc that almost killed him. Thank god I figured it out in time and fired him. Just because they are docs, does not mean that they know what they are doing. Sadly

Timothy, I always keep an eye on whats floating over there at the Sewage Treatment Plant. And sometimes at night when its not too cold I go up to town and see if anyone left anything laying around out in their yard that they probably don't want any more. I'd like to ring their doorbell and ask them if they want that stuff but I hate to wake up the workaholics, so I just figure out if its something I need or can sell in a Yard Sale and I go ahead and load it up and help them out.

I like being a good neighbor.

I really need to save up some money though because its not going to be too much longer and those Green Beret's or Girl Scouts or whatever you call them will be coming around selling those Peanut Butter Cookies and I dearly love those things. The little brats won't take any more of my checks though so I need some serious cash.

Other than all that hard work like that, everything is good here Timothy. We nearly froze today, it only got up to 65 degrees. Sure is a good thing I found a pair of those footsie, wooly, fuzzy, pajamas to wear so I can stay warm and snuggly.

Wish I could find one that would cure the arthritis in hubby's hips but I guess that's asking too much from an herb.

Goodnight folks. I'm off to try out the new bed. Hope to see you back here again tomorrow Tim

Have a good night Fran and good luck with the new bed!

And like they say, if the trailers a rockin'
