Likely the prevailing wind Fran....My neighbor with the oaks has few leaves....Mom's yard with 2 small dogwoods catches them all....When returning from the reunion I noticed the wind to be "favorable for re-gifting"....Out came the blower and then the mower....

Glad the haze is working Tracy...Someday I'll order the real stuff for comparison...Many think Chopper's name came from my motorcycle association and the fact I had several choppers....Sylvester and Tweety...That's where it came from....Someone gifted me a Dalmation pup once...My neighbor's kid fell in love with it so I passed it on....One condition....He kept the name I'd given him..."Astro" from George Jetzon....Then came Paco and Chica and Chopper's side kick "Black Betty Rubble" aka BeBee......I tried renaming Spike but nothing ever clicked with him...He also goes by Big Dawg and sometimes DickDick and he knows all three.....

Dang ya'll post faster than me....and way more often!!!!!! 1086!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's layed out on one leg now with an abused pigs ear laying on the other leg....That dog sticks to me like glue....

The biggest creator of our leaves is our neighbor on the west, behind us, but we do appreciate the shade of his trees in the summer. Living in a neighborhood where the houses are so close together, the winds create their own wind tunnels between the houses...doesn't really make a lot of difference about the prevailing direction.

The town runs a truck around that sucks up piles of leaves, so most people rake them to the street for the town to pick up. This creates a problem with the sewer grates getting clogged up on the streets tho. We keep the grate in front of our house clean and free of debris, but most people don't bother...then they blame the town when their streets flood. I hate city living!

Yeah that one time I lived in the city{Fayetteville,NC} we had a full acre lot with a huge backyard....Well huge for city standards....Un-raked in years...I got all my family and friends to pitch in raking and hauling leaves and limbs too the curb....That guy on the leaf sucker truck nearly sheet a divine bovine aka a cow!!!!!!!!! My leafy neighbor is an odd sort.....lives in a camper a few miles down the road where his cow pasture is located....Nice house across from my Mom.....prefers the camper...His wife camps with him....He used to pay me to go and buy stuff for him....6 big coolers full of sausage{he delivered biscuits too the local country stores years back} and Budweiser....Have you ever seen a long bed pick up with as many buds as it will fit???? Heck I had 'em stacked and tied in!!!!!!!! He converted an old milk truck into a beer cave....Nowadays after all the leaves have fallen and I've blown all I can back over there he hires a couple of local drunks to rake while he sits on the tail gate and directs...Back where I live all my neighbors have furry bodies....I got three or four acres of grass and not many leaves at all...

My food coma is worn off...heading out in a bit for a burger and shake...Spike loses all training whenever a shake enters the truck...You can leave whatever take out you buy in there with him while you open/lock the gate and he knows not to bother it....Milkshake and all rules are off....

At this point, I'd be happy with just an acre. That's at least enough room so you can fart without the neighbors getting ...... off!

I haven't had a really good burger in ages, I'll take a chocolate malt with that please! That's funny about Spike and the milk shake. Katie used to bring home a Big Mac and fries for her poodle

Our Hyundai Dealership scores a big fat F on customer service. Appt at 11am, sat there for 2 hours before their "shuttle service" was available to bring me home! They could have finished the work on the car in that length of time, but because they thought they had all day, they hadn't even pulled it into the bay until 5 minutes before the guy brought me home  Guess it's a Monday for them and me.

Well the brake inspection said Katie's brakes look like brand new, but they did get her on the alignment to the tune of $120 plus the $50 to inspect the brakes. It's her money, I guess if she wants to have them do her work, it's up to her.

Cranky cow missed her afternoon nap!
