Our bird should be ready right around 1. A half foot of light snow overnight, we should get some more lake effect tonight Thankfully the snowblower started right up, changing the plug may have been all it needed.

A good weekend to pick up a tree, and we'll likely catch Lights on the Lake, a nice display at a local park.

I'm happy to report that my very first time cooking turkey (please feel free to laugh uncontrollably!) turned out delish  It was nice and crispy on the skin, and the meat was still moist and juicy!

My family tradition was ham, not turkey but Katie wanted turkey. She was skeptical about having a sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin, but she liked it. I don't think she'll ever be a southern belle, but I will keep feeding her a bit of the south every chance I get ;)

Wharf I forgot to congratulate you on the 49ers win. Kaepernick was looking pretty good again. Come out of his slump. Great game buddy.

Great job on the turkey Bo. I stayed home and took care of some laundry that needed done and watched football. It was a good day.

SDH These aren't part of the family too?

I really wish I liked Turkey. I use to love it but last year I decided to cut up the Turkey into Turkey parts and it was a disaster. I may have PTSD for many years.
Congrats on the Turkey! :)

I love turkey. I had a turkey pot pie in Thanksgiving Tradition style last night for dinner. There was 2 peeps supposed to bring me some today from leftovers but alas the closest I got was the pot pie a day early.
