I'm upgrading into this century. Got an HD TV the other day and Directv will be here tomorrow to put in an HD Box. Also have a blu-ray player coming tomorrow. Hope I can figure out how to set it up.

I've been dealing with Stormy at Stormy's Vapor Cellar a bit recently...Most excellent as well...Stormy has a new tank coming in a few days...IDK for sure but I believe it too be a Siam...I like Siam's stuff...Not sure about the total specifics of the tank but there's something different on the bottom cap and the top cap has a very small fill hole by the tip...I'm liking that and have often wondered if I could sneak a small screw into that area...never tried but still...They even got a naming contest for the tank....I kept my suggestions too myself....

I'm still using the first 2 Liquinators I got 1.5years ago! Plus my M1A1, and a gorgeous Phinny from Moorea.
Well Directv hooked up my HD today. He didn't want to mount it where the old dish was so they took the old internet dish off the pole and mounted the new dish there. He took the old TV dish off the deck rail too and took both old dishes with him!! Took the old Directv box with him too plus he programmed the remote!!
Oh ya. I can't even watch reg. TV anymore. Mine doubles as my Monitor so I got 3 PCs hooked to it with a KVM switch and I can keep them all doing different jobs. Plus I got one port open for hooking up laptops to when I'm working on them. That way I don't have to wear Binoculars to see them and they all share the same keyboard and mouse. I love HDTV. I'm not too crazy about the 3Dtv though. Guess I'm not cool anymore.
I'm with you on the 3D thing there Five...Just not into that at all...My phone store had some pretty dang nice TVs but they're all 3D. 3D back in the day required the red and green glasses,,,the movies weren't all that either...Guess that's where my issues with 3D lie.
It took me all of 2 minutes to hook up the blu-ray player. It's internet that's giving me fits. My blu-ray is an internet ready Sony but it won't connect. My router is in the next room no more than 15 feet away. Think I might just run a LAN cable from the router to blu-ray.
Talk about old school? My TV is HDTV and 3D capable....I"m takin back the HD box and exchanging it for a regular cable box to save $10 per month on my bill. I just dont' ever use the Hi Def channels! 3D.....nah!!!!
Yep, all I watch is HD channels. The 3d is not my cup of joe either tho. My eyes work weird (I think they still call it lazy eye) and I have never been able to experience the 3D effects. It messes with my depth perception too, but since I was born with it I have adapted easily and have no idea what "normal" eyesight is
Dee on some of them you still need the glasses. I mean it reminds me of them Viewmasters we had as kids. I suppose if your into a lot of animated videos and gaming it might add something but with movies and regular viewing it doesn't do anything for me.
Bo most of the movies I watch are westerns that were made before HD was ever heard of but many of them are in blueray and the VSO media player I got free online does a pretty good job on them. The thing I like about it is back then TV's were square, or round and I can set the output on them to 16:9 so they cover the screen on the newer HDTV.

Ahhh yes the ViewMaster!!!!!!!!!!! Man that brings back memories...
Now I'm all about some HD and a big old screen...A friend got a 3D and too me the picture quality just wasn't all that..
Anybody wanna ride too the junkyard?? I just got a call from there...Seems a Mountaineer with the leather seats has just arrived...Got the nice console also...Ranger upgrade??? I hope those seats are as nice as they say!!!!!!!!!
