I haven't seen a robin here yet but we have the bluejays and the little chickadee ones.
Yep it's still quite windy here Fran. Our Jays stay around pretty much all winter, the cardinals and chickadees too. It's always a happy sight to see the Robins back.

We've had several bluejays hanging around this winter, nary a cardinal tho.

I was just a cold miserable day today. Snow this morning with 6 degrees and wind was brutal. Got up to 14 for a minute.
I look forward to seeing the Robins get here. Be awhile no doubt.

Hopefully Chase is over his downstairs phobia...he lasted all day without trying to climb the stairs. I think Gramma Katie was giving him treats
Our Blue Jays hang around all winter. They take off in the spring every yr. Probably to go to their breeding grounds but they come back for the rest of the yr.
I try to LD but I have to tear apart the front to get at them. They got screens so I can't see how the stuff gets in there but it does.

The robins have been here for a few weeks, the cardinals all winter.
But today? Today the cedar waxwings made their one day, once a year appearance... happy little souls that they are.
I don't know which direction they go from here, where they spend their summer months? Maybe up in y'alls' neck of the woods? A true harbinger of spring for me, here, though the robins have first dibs on the title.
Hummingbirds due soon, as well...
Pansy season is nearly done for us, Fran--too early for you with the harsh winter still upon you? I still think of you each time I see their smiling faces grinning at me

Broke down today and purchased a new cart for my oxygen and acetleyne tanks...I've had a Cobra Torch for a while but have put off setting it up due to being out of oxygen and I hated my cart..Going back too my roots with some true old school welding...
Bov the thing that grinds my gears about that comercial.....they want someone to believe quitting matters to them...only if you use Big Pharma as an aid...The best way to quit???? They wanna ban that...
We've had Robins for weeks as well...Pulling worms outta the grass!!! The still very brown grass....
Temps should be more moderate the next few days...I gotta get back on that bathroom...Trust working on that lineoleum kicked my azz...Still gotta pull the tub and the lineoleum underneath...Gonna have to replace 2 sheets of flooring due to the leak...

We had 3 degrees this morning but that has dropped to 2 now. Weather says around 35 today and 40 tomorrow. It's a big improvement over yesterday anyway.
