Another take Mom too the Doc day...I'd planned on being at the beach working on the bath a couple of days back...Doc trip cancelled those plans...Warm soon and Sis' family will be going down there...Being this is twice Doc appointments have cost me time working on the beach house...Well I won't hear any complaining....No one ever offers to drive Mom too the Doc....Not .....ing.... just sayin"...
My little Ranger had a small leak at the rear of the intake...From appearances it looked too have increased and I read up on the mechanics involved...Started smelling fuel a couple days back so I dived underneath looking for a leak....Seems transmission fluid on the muffler smells like fuel...The freshly rebuilt before I bought it transmission....likely due too cheap azz parts used in the rebuild...front seal as well and that requires the transfer case and transmission be removed...I'm bummed but not defeated I will fix the little bassturd...These transmissions are a known weak link....I know where a Bronco II sits with a 5 speed...This will also allow conversion too a manual shift transfer case....Benefits include losing the weak link automatic...more power...better fuel economy and much better reliability.....Just another day in pair ahhhh dice....I despise cheap auto parts....
My batteries arrived 3 mail days past tracking indicating delivery....Meanwhile an order from US Plastics arrived before I logged off...fast I tell you...Waiting on some reverse osmosis filters and my RTS shipment....Dying for some Snake Oil.....

Dang Dee, I'd be unhappy about that transmission too. Even tho it's fixable, you expect not to have to fix it that soon. And Dr visits...yeah, I know the feeling.

Morning, Fran. I have things to do in the garage this afternoon, it's a good day for it.
WooHoo we have ground showing to the far right of our back yard. 48 and sunny now. Might reach 50 .
Well back from the Credit Union/Pharmacy/Doc...Sitting in the truck is a pain in the posterior......
Sunny and @80*...Is all good...Sis had AC on last night??? I got the windows open...Free and fresh air to boot!!!!!!!
No RTS today....Oh well...There's always tomorrow.....
The Ranger is the STX fully loaded model....I'm the second owner...I'd rate it a 10 of 10 for condition all things considered...Should I replace it the Toy Tacoma would be my option...The same condition as the Ranger would be 10~$15,000...The A4LD automatic currently leaking it's azz off is known to have issues...such as leaking it's azz off...Mazda's M5OD-R1 would be the 5-speed for this truck,,,Found in Mazdas, Rangers and Exploders...Known as the go to mid-size transmission...I can do the conversion fairly cheaply aided in part to my transmission not being computer controlled...The hunt for parts has begun...

Nice weather day here as well.
Crazy day again so far.....Madison's doctor is on vaca this week so I took her to the pediatrician covering him. Holy crap he about scared me to death! He is unsure of why she is having this pain and had me take her for blood work (try that with a 5 year old! although she was awesome) and chest xrays to rule out appendicitis and or pneumonia/pleurisy (sp?). Was told her xrays turned out fine so far, still waiting on the blood results.
Poor thing threw up in my hand right after they bandaged her little arm....then again in their garbage can, and yet again in the plastic bag they gave me to travel with. Please say a prayer (I know you all will without having to say so. ) that these results come back ok and that it is just a viral thing that has to run it's course. I can't take much more of this with my baby. This new doc (who has never met Madison) has me watching her spine for scoliosis! I told him she is definitely holding herself in weird positions and moving very cautiously since this pain started. Once this whatever she has right now is over with and she is feeling better he wants me to look at her back again. If it still looks strange I have an order for a spine xray.

I 'liked' it only because I love you Tracy! I hope and pray that the new Doc doesn't find anything serious, and hope that Maddie feels better very soon

Oh man I sure hope Maddie is OK...Prayers for her!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aren't ya'll glad you don't live in my World....M5OD-R1....A4LD....the list gets extensive and I've committed most to memory..I added a 1/2 quart of Lucas Transmission Fix when I fixed the first leak...I suspect that may have a roll in the leak....so I added the other 1/2 and a full quart as well....Looks like it may be working...Given the price and popularity of little trucks these days I have no choice but to make the Ranger a bullet proof ride...and I may be just a tad .... about my sheet....
Diesel fuel ain't cheap...My Dodge sits mostly....charger on one of the batteries now...Hoping they{yeah it's got 2 batteries} show some signs of life but doubtful...At any rate I'll be using it more often...It won't leak trans fluid all over my boat...that's a huge plus....

All this talk about docs. I just got back from there. I waited an hour to see him then told them to make another appointment when I could be seen. They said you're next. I said how did I know you were going to say that, but declined to wait any longer. Now I'm scheduled to see my own doc in the AM.
