Good morning everyone!

What a Memorial Day weekend.....the old pool had to be taken down yesterday, after it was 3/4s full and a new one bought (like I needed that expense!) and put up. Took up the entire weekend!!! Grrrrrrr!! So much for a picnic.

Getting too old for this (borrowing your word here ElDee) sheet so I'm going to take my cousin up on her offer to give me her 10 year old, gently used above ground pool for next year. These disposables only last for about 2 seasons and are so much work to put up and take down every year. Kicks our old butts for sure!
It's still filling as I type this.

Already hot outside! Supposed to be some boomers later today along with a cool front, so tomorrow's cooler tempt will find me finishing the west row pf hedges.

I got my chores for the day finished. Had to go get a new cable box and noticed all the neighbors had their trash out so I hurried and got ours out. Glad I didn't miss that. Then after getting the new box the nice girl put us on a special for the next yr. that not only reduced our cable bill $35.00 a month but give us free Starz for a yr. Then I fixed some broken things for my son. Nice to get out into the shop again. I'm going to have to start doing this more often as it pays off.

Dang 5 just as I read your post I heard thunder in the distance...I just came in and showered due to the sweaty situation I was in earlier...Got my tub refund today and will head too Laurinburg NC tomorrow...Hoping that tub measures correctly....Really wanted to see the laurinburg tub before getting the refund as I felt a refund first would surely jinx the Lauinburg tub...That would require two trips down there though....

A situation the other day got me to thinking...I often throw things out here that I just don't tell everyone...Though I know it's not a private forum I sort of treat it that way...I think our writings are read by far more people than we imagine...I bet those sumbeeches think I'm crazy...I just may be....

How's this....I was thinking on three new purchases due to the coming Nazi vape Laws...Known as NVL from here forward...Then I get a sale notice from ProVape/RTS/VapeRev...So I then decided not to purchase anything...vaping was a means to an end...Should the end be near so be it...

Rain just moved in a few minutes ago. hoping the cooler air is soon behind it.

Good deal on the cable box run, 5'er! Wish Cox was as willing to make better deals. I had to go get a new box for Katie a few months back and they didn't offer me squat. I left there muttering about them offering great deals for new customers, but not giving a damn about the ones who have been with them for years.

Dee, I know exactly where I'd be if I quit vaping so that's not an option for me. Ans you nailed the NVL name

Thanks for commiserating with my woes everyone! The new pool "looks" much nicer than the previous 3 with a whole new filter type. Lord knows the old style needed help! I'm hoping for the best, but I'm still grabbing my cousins "real" pool for next year.

ElDee, you never fail to crack me up!!! I too, often consider this forum as just "our place" where no other eyes are allowed. I speak freely here where I wouldn't other places on the net. LOL @ sumbeeches think you're crazy!!! In your words, Fekk 'em!
I've noticed the sales in my inbox as well from the same places you mentioned above. I do hope it's just a little panic and not a full blown white flag. Can't stand the thoughts of it. It definitely gets my blood boiling!

Yes, it rained here earlier too and cooled down just a bit for now. More rain due here tonight and tomorrow, then a cooler front moves in.

I was talking to my SIL about the cable thing and he said my daughter used to call up and say she was thinking about shutting off the service and they would always offer those deals to her to stay. I forgot about teaching her that and even more surprised she was doing something I taught her to do.
Ya LD I sometimes get lax and forget there are other non family members reading our posts. But then I think how many sitcoms must have been made from them.

I have my own theories on why all the sales are happening (besides Memorial Day) but I'll keep that to myself.

I've always gone on the assumption that if I post it on the internet anywhere, it can be read by anyone. Clearly from the things I've posted here, one would conclude that I don't care who reads it
