Finally got the tar spread on the shed roof today...yay! Disturbed a hornet nest in the process, but they are in hornet heaven now

Wonder how long it'll take to dig this tar from under my fingernails. Mineral spirits took care of most of what I was wearing after I was done.

This is one of those old metal sheds, and years ago my FIL sunk some hollow metal fence posts around it because a storm blew it off it's foundation once. It didn't even occur to me to check the posts before I plopped my ladder on top of one. Boy howdy did those hornets come boiling out of there ...... off. Sure am glad they didn't wait until I was up the ladder 8-o

It is peaceful, a beautiful view.

Just got home. We had a neighbor by for dinner, long chat, perfect temperature. I was enjoying the view, vaping, but DW started to get feasted on by the mosquitoes. I need to pick up a fresh bottle of citronella oil for the lanterns.

(Skeets rarely bother me. I must taste bad.)
