LOL, that looks funny posted at 1:30 PM my time, kg :)

Ha, Salem and Kgj...I was still trying to wake up at 1:30 anyway ;)

I just love going to the auto parts store. As a woman, I usually end up getting a good chuckle out of it. I decided since I'm waiting for my car door interior handle to ship (yes I had to replace one about this time last year too) I would check out the cabin filter since I've never looked at it before. Got the glove box removed, pulled the little filter door off, and hmmm...cheap ... Hyundai never bothered to install one. Looked it up and found them online at a decent price, but I had to run to the dollar store for Katie anyway so I stopped in Auto Zone and asked the guy if they had one in stock. Took him 10 minutes to stand there and look it up (he prolly couldn't spell Hyundai) and then he tells me he'll have to order it. "How much?" says I, he responds $22. I thank him for his time and tell him I can order it online for $8.99 and free shipping. As I walk away, he says "Yeah, but it won't be a genuine part!" I was fine up to that point, even tho the 2 guys behind me in line were getting a bit restless. Halfway to the door he hits me with his smart assed remark, and I stopped, walked back to where I could see his computer screen and Say "As in genuine Hyundai part? Look at your own inventory screen...neither is yours."

At least the 2 guys and I got a decent snicker out of it. I think the store guy is still trying to figure it out  My filter will be here next week.

Hey Wharf and all you other three year stinkie quitters, good job and I'm happy for all of you. I had three years last May and joined ecf a couple months later. When I got my first GreenSmoke e-gics I put my industrial strength Salem's in the trash and never looked backl. I just made up my mind in advance that I was going to make the e-cigs work. And they did.

I've got a fantastic juice supplier (a DIY'ing friend) who keeps me fixed up with wonderful flavors. If anybody offered me a cigarette now I'd have to politely refuse and pull out my Mocha Cappuccino in a T3S tank and I'd be smiling as I enjoyed my nic fix and that great flavor!

The thing that amazes me so much is how far vaping has progressed in three years. And now when I read about things like the Zap, I have to hit my search engine and find out what it is. Its hard to keep up any more, but its fun trying all the new things.

Oh, and like LD I have other mods but my Buzz Pro (#410) is sitting right here in front of me.

TT

My suggestion there Bov would be don't go to AutoZone. Hubby won't seat foot in their stores.

Yeah Fran, I rarely go in that store, but I was hoping to be able to pick up the filter and get it put back together today. No worries, the glove box is easy to remove. I hit the coils with an air gun to blow all the 10 year old leaves and pine needles out...now I need to vacuum lol.

The shed door hardware came today so I'll get that project buttoned down tomorrow. Katie's birthday is coming up on Sept 4th, and she's been wanting a plain old radio for her bedroom. Nothing fancy that she has to figure out, so I found this one on Amazon with good reviews. Added it to my filter order today for her present :)

Are you vaping on the cooler side 5'er ? At 4Ω on my BP I'd be maxing out at 7.8w or less depending on each IC.
The first lower Ohm heads I had to run at colder settings but with these 4Ohm heads I'm at 4.9 volts Wharf which is just above 6 watts. I guess it depends because when I'm outside I turn it up some.BTW I put the 4ohm heads in my Protank because my Dbox is coming apart. I have another Dbox but it is still new and I have too many tanks going now.

Tank about tanks. Here's how good Fusions are. I had taken one of my tanks off to use for measuring on this new PV I've been working on. It layed around the shop for a week until I brought it back in. Then I picked it up and the end where the tip goes was full of fine sawdust so I was going to toss it. Anyway remebering TT picking up the old ones in the alley I thought I'm going to blow it out and see what happens. Anyway it was vaping like new. Not like the one I tried to blow out with the air hose. The tip shot clear accross the shop and the insides were hanging out the end.

The DBox.....I have two....One sits mostly...My Mings fit rather snugly in the one in rotation...Matter of fact I broke all my Mings and a Trippy too....When the last Ming bit the dust I went searching my collection and none would slide in...I finally got a really old Super T to fit...All the rough handling broke the seal between the glass and bottom connecter...Naturally the tank was full...The seal appeared to be a thin bead of silicon...I'd been meaning to increase the size of that hole for better tip fit...A little loose would be 10X better than to tight...It was a proven tip snapper...I had 7/8 tips stored and the Super T was the only one that would work at all...The second DBox has a little better clearance but still very tight....Good luck snapping that delrin Super T...

The Pro Tank with it's built on metal tip sits...I've heard many beeching about those coming apart as well...I hate that tip....

I've no idea on availability but the Pro Tank 2 has a removable tip and it comes completely apart....No glue...I hear they even have a mini...In my book mini = less run time so,,,PASS....I'm gonna be hunting some Mings soon...If I can get my hands on a PT2 I'll be having a couple of those as well....I'll be test fitting the tips prior to use as well...

All in all the DBox and PT are great...They are easy to run and produce good vapor and flavor...The coil style is here to stay IMO...I'd love to see someone step up with a quality machined, light weight tank...Maybe a different wick material as well...I've been pondering a fish wick but have been way to busy for such hocus pocus...

Spoke with the cat I hooked up with my Vision Spinner/T3....No stinkies for 5 weeks now...I hate answering vaping questions but I always do...When a friend quits it makes it all worthwhile...

Dee what happens is the juice breaks down the glue. I've had 2 come apart. I'm currently looking for glue that will work and I think this will do the trick http://www.masterbond.com/tds/ep42ht-2fg. It's good with high temps, food safe and chemical resistant. I think if the pyrex was roughed up a bit before they glue them they would work better. I had a string of glue in my tank on last fill. As long as I kept it full it didn't leak but as soon as the juice got to the bottom it started flooding and leaking. IU've been using SS and delrin tips in mine. The protank works just as good but it's smaller and I had one of those come apart too.

I saw the PT2 at a B&M here..... Very nice !!!! It is put together like the Hellfire, the glass seats on orings in the top and bottom caps and seals as you screw it together. I didn't try a TT on it, but it looks like a standard drip tip. There's a a deal on them right now PT2 $19.99

LD I use 2mm silica with the PT heads and they wick great.

Another beautiful day coming up, perfect for working on the deck :)

So the part that comes loose, is it the main bottom cap that the coil assembly screws into? If it does on mine, I'll likely try the jb weld; I rechecked the specs, should be fine once cured. I wonder why everyone doesn't automatically do a washer on caps, they work well, are field replaceable. M1A1 caps have been superb.

Mark the chrome piece that surrounds the bottom of the tank came free..Be it known I was trying my best to cram a 510 in there prior...The DBox comes with a tip that I never used...It has a vise like grip on the tips...I usually park my pv in an upright position and it gets knocked over from time to time...If the tip was the first thing to contact,,,,sheared right off...Then as I was toting my bags and unlocking the beach house door a very slight bump on the door sheared my prized lime green Ming...The hole needs a couple of thousandths extra clearence...I had more than a few tips stored that couldn't have been hammered in there...all previously used 510s...............

Five one thing I didn't like when looking inside the sealed area was the bonding agent used....It was soft indicating to me it was silicon...Chinese industrial grade not worth a good dang silicon and not much of it....The glass looks to have been scored and snapped instead of cut...My first impression was that I'd broken the glass...The amount of silicon would have never sealed the uneven glass...As you stated it should be roughed prior...evened out would be a plus as well...The link to the epoxy looks like great stuff to me...FDA approved so it'll prob kill you graveyard dead!!!!!!!!!JK/JK!!!!!! I usually go with Fusor products...I have the applicator guns but unless you use it often a $35 tube will be rock solid before it's needed again...As Mark stated JB is all good as well and a definite option. I have used Permatex from Lowes a couple of times now...Comes in a syringe with two mixing tips and it's clear as well...It worked as well as the Fusor and much cheaper...Rough that bottom piece up as well as the glass and it should be there when the Bovinas come home.....I believe the qb we got from you is Matt Flynn...at any rate you want him back????The Raider Nation is raising heck for Tyrell Pryor...is he related to Richard???? I sure hope so....We're coming for a visit next week...

Wharf I'll be checking the link when I finish this book....Thanks.....and GO NINERS!!!!! They are afterall the second best Bay Area team.....
