I have DSL as well and mine's pretty fast too. We are having a heckuva storm roll through right now. I will check back later on!!!

P.S.- My beloved beach that was nearly destroyed by hurricane sandy last October....there's a pretty nasty fire on the boardwalk right now. Can they catch a break??? Sheesh!

Here is a link to their "beach cam"..... http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newjersey/seasidepark/

I just read about the fire on the Boardwalk Tracy, and I thought about you :(

I think DSL has some pretty fast speeds now 5c. We have cable here, and just the basic tier of internet so my speeds are not very fast.

If it's storming bad, unplug your computer! Moon just learned that lesson, he's having his computer fixed after a lightning strike traveled thru his DSL.

My son was really impressed playing one of his games on my PC since I added that SSD. He said his game had moves he didn'y know even existed from playing on his. I'm going to see if I can get his going a little faster or maybe another one for Christmas.
Speed is something that's a must on my computer. That's why I get so upset with ECF sometimes.

Oh ya, You're right. Lightening has destroyed a many computers. You can get protection for that but I would hate to have my protection fail and have to buy a new computer.

Storms over! (for now anyways)

Bov I'm sorry about your moon flower, but please take pics of one when it's in full bloom. I'd love to see it!!!
I'm so torn about my hibiscus.....I'd love to try wintering it over indoors, but it doesn't sound like it's an easy thing to do. At the same time, it is something that I enjoyed with my Dad, and the pink one is the last gift he bought for me. :( Will be hard and sad for me to put it out for garbage if I have to. If that is the case though, you can bet I will purchase one every year in remembrance of him. <3

Tracy you should read this about you hibiscus.
Year 'round Hibiscus

Bo I have a surge protected strip plugged into a surge protected strip. The one plugged into the other one is usb controlled so when my pc goes off everything plugged into that strip also has the power cut.

Thanks 5c!!! I will probably just buy a new one. That link says that those bought at Home Depot and the like usually do not flower well after wintering inside, and that's where I got them. (that and the thought of bringing bugs inside just gives me shivers!)

I'm off to bed now....have a good night all!!

Good evening I'm back from school. We watched a whole bunch of safety videos. Tues next week we will get to actually try some welding. :) I sure can't wait for the mailman to come tomorrow morning. I also can't wait for the money from the VA to hit my bank got to get some more AROs ordered and a bunch of other stuff.

Sweet dreams Tracy!

I have to take Katie to her eye Dr appt tomorrow...thank goodness she didn't make the appt for 8am! Nothing wrong, just annual eye exam.

That's what I'm using right now 5, a surge strip. I just don't trust them too much since I can't afford to replace my computer.

Fran, looks like it's been worse up your way than for us. So far nothing wild, just mild t'storms. The night is still young tho.

Hey Den, maybe that's something I could do...take up welding :) I'm glad you got your VA backing!
